Hope your OH gets some rest now and can relax a bit Flower - does he get paid while he's off sick?
Birdie they are quality! That must cost a fortune to make them look that good! Defo not showing mine now! Lol mine are no way near as fancy as those! You have a talent0 -
Flower - Hope your OH gets better soon! Chest infections are awful, I had one at the start of the year and I could barely move without struggling to breathe. Nasty things! I bet as soon as he's had some proper time with daytime telly snuggled up in bed he wont want to go back to work. I still miss Coach Trip and Dickinsons Real Deal!
Birdie - You bloody show off, those pages are great!! I wish I had the attention span/creativeness to do stuff like that.
Hoping plenty of people sign up for the course Wendy. That would be pretty darn fab though, even if just one does!
Urghh, majorly confused by Lush at the moment. I ordered some stuff with them on Sunday, got an email on Tuesday saying things were out of stock, then an email Wednesday saying they were back in stock and they've shipped them. Then I logged onto my banking this morning and they've refunded the money for the order? Eh?!0 -
Keep quiet Cinny! Free Lush!

Awww thanks! They kind of vary price wise, some pages cost a bit if I use big chipboard letters or fancy stickers and paper, but others cost pennies because I use freebies from magazines and downloaded bits from the Canon website.
Oooh free Lush! They may yet take the money.... but fingers crossed they don't! You give them so much business you deserve a freebie!
Have you seen the deal in the weekly e-mail for the £20 worth of jewellery for £7.50? I'm tempted to go for it, if I don't like what I get I can always keep it for presents.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I'm too honest, no free Lush for me!
They said they'll sort it out. I'd be constantly worried they'd just whip it out of my account otherwise!! I did get one of the easter bath bombs for £1.25 instead of £2.75 though. And I am getting lots of samples
My last Lush stuff for a while now, so I'm glad it's being dragged out a bit!
I didn't see that offer Birdie! But I'll plea the typical 'do you need it' thingy, and think that £7.50 could be knocked off your debt, or buy a slice of wedding cake!
ETA: Just seen the offer, it looks pretty!!0 -
I know I don't *need* it... But it would make some cheap birthday/christmas presents. Might convince my Mum to treat me!
Urgh, I've got a wedding in May and I need to find an outfit (since I've not been to a wedding since I was 15 so have no weddingy outfits) and no-one I know has anything suitable to borrow! This will be the first clothing I've bought this year, I feel a bit cheated that the first thing I treat myself to is for a wedding I'm not too keen on attending! The £22 in my sig is underwear as I needed a nice white strapless bra and matching knickers for trying on wedding dresses, my Mum insisted and she's not someone you argue with!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I cant find it, anyone got a link? If its nice and will save you in the long run, then i dont see a problem.
That sucks that the first piece of clothing is something you dont want. Can you not choose something you could wear again after, maybe something you can dress up/down with accessories?
I have put my review up and was about to write another one, but will do it this afternoon as i want to do a bit of cleaning first. Feel like i spend my whole life glued to the laptop. I should've quit my job in the summer so i could've left the house more often...need to think these things through in the future! :rotfl:0 -
On Dooyoo, does anyone get really scared when DavidButtery comments on their reviews?! With his Typo Corner!? Lol he's commented on a few of mine, nothing about punctuation but i still get worried! Someone commented on my last review that i'd ruined the title by putting an apostrophe in the wrong place!
YES! He's a total @rse, I always write impeccably spelled, grammared (get the irony!) and punctuated reviews compared to most people on that site and for him to comment on something that is literally a typo (ie I've written chocloate instead of chocolate for example) is just petty and annoying. When he did it I was tempted to go through every one of his reviews with a fine tooth comb and point out any little thing I could find but then decided I'm just not that dull.
Hope OH gets better soon Flower, fingers crossed for the commission Wendz, and loving the scrapbooks Birdie! Hey, that floral dress you wore to Betty's was lovely, can't you wear that for the wedding, if it's one you don't particularly want to go to anyway?
Yuk, having one of those mornings - Been out of the office for two and a half days and have squillions of emails to catch up with, and one of the participants on my course has died! Yikes!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Thank you everyone for the well wishes about OH - he told me this morning hes starting to feel better already, he doesnt look much better, thats just his way of telling me hes planning on going back to work soon. Men!!
Birdie - i LOVE your scrapbooks, wish i had a talent like that! You should go into business doing it, i would pay you to do something like that with my photos!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Good idea Tete but I think the bride has seen me in that dress before as a 'day dress'. They're a rich lot (all from Harrogate dahling) and I want to fit in so I want to look expensively dressed (but as cheaply as possible!).
Flower... I'd happily scrapbook for you for a fee! I keep thinking about it but I'm not sure if it'll become a chore or if I'd end up out of pocket because I'd get carried away adding pretty bits! My colleague's son is getting married in September and she wants me to do a scrapbook so I'll see how I get on with it!
David Buttery has only commented on one of my reviews so far and it wasn't a niggly one... I'm going to be paranoid waiting for his wrath now!
ETA: It looks like the MSEers have stolen my chance at the cheap jewellery anyway, the link doesn't work now!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
