Lol what a funny bargain! I agree with Bridie, you are creative. I would've ended up with cheese on toast :rotfl:

Wow, great bargain! A few weeks ago OH found a block of cheese in our posh next door supermarket reduced to £1.20 from £10-something. We had friends round that evening and every time we opened the fridge to get a drink out he pulled the cheese out to show whoever was closest his bargain! In fact, OH's brother works in said supermarket and lives with OH's friend who was at ours that night and apparently the next morning he went into OH's brother's bedroom to tell him all about our amazing cheese bargain!

Yes, our circle of friends really are that easily pleased!

LOL, on Monday, after getting used to having my dinner ready when I came in from work and then having to go back to feeding myself, I had (half) a bowl of minging WW soup and some toast and I was starving when OH came home and he told me off because we had all sorts of oddments in the cupboards that I could have made something good out of but I didn't think to do it! I can cook but I like to stick to recipes so making storecupboard surprises doesn't come naturally!:o

Hahah - Birdie when there's a bargain like that in our family it gets passed around like crazy too!

Dinah - The cheesy apple straws sound scrummy!! I can never throw things together like that. I just do cupcakes, and that's where my skills start and stop.

Just started my own thread again btw! Been saying I need to get back on top of things for ages now, but need the push of having to confess to all my spends!

ETA: Oooooooo Dinah, just got the print in the post!! It's lovely! Off to put it in its new home before work!

Birdie you should get your OH to go and work in Flowers OH's kitchen. Fix two problems :D

I'm gonna write a list of things i want to do, because lets face it, when i get a job and go back to work, all im gonna do is moan that i never have time! Feel like im wasting all this time being jobless, could be getting alot more done.

Yey glad you like it! I already had a few printed, but decided they were a bit dark so lightened the image a little and got it reprinted and I think it looks much better now :)

Cheese straw recipe is dead simple, and is now up on my blog for anyone that wants it.

I'll look at your blog tonight, can't see it at work since it's blocked!

Lulu, you should make a plan of things you want to do whilst you still have free time! I know what you mean about wasting time, back when I'd left college and was 'looking' for a job I spent months watching daytime TV and... not a lot else! When OH was off last year he said it just flew by but he accomplished what he wanted to do, he finished some xbox games and read all 7 Harry Potter books- not exactly life changing but he was never bored!

Yeah i'm still looking for work etc, but i do seem to have a daytime tv schedule set up  Not quite at the stage where i plan my showers around it, but getting there! :rotfl:

Something i've wanted to do for so long is put my photos into albums, but it took me a whole day and i mean a WHOLE day to do a 5 day trip to New York. So honestly lost interest when it came to a 2 week holiday to Vegas!! But no excuses, as its not like it all needs to be done in one day.

Ok, i will get working on a list! :D

Making a list sounds like a good idea Lulu! I need to make one for my Easter Holiday I think, or I'll just sit about complaining.

Dinah - I showed it to my Sister and she really likes it too. Will be showing it off more tonight. I never get prints for my room! Took a quick snap for you before I came to work, seriously wonky but I was in a rush. click! Off to look at the blog!

Good girl! Do you not fancy doing your pictures into a scrapbook style album? It's more fun than just sticking photos into an album and nicer to look at and, if you're like me, you can add in bits of napkin, leaflet etc that you collected whilst you were away! Also, once you get a job and can afford to spend a little extra on silly things you can buy fab embellishments (stickers and what not) to add to the pages! I want to go to Vegas purely for the scrapbooking goodies I could use!
