Haha glad im not the only one! Lol Tete!!! I wanted to do that too, but wouldve been even more annoyed if i didnt find any mistakes! What a bore he must be!
I can't believe how sad people are to sit there and correct others spelling! If they are that bad, they obviously dont care or they wouldnt of put it up in the first place. What about the poor dyslexic people. I bet DB gets loads of revenge rates!0 -
Gosh hope your OH is better soon Flower that sounds serious.I
After talking about my scrapbook yesterday I remembered that I had some photos of a few pages on my computer, want to see? I made some headway with the spare room last night, I'm regaining my craft space! Now I just need to find the bits I want to get started again... it's all spread out between a set of plastic drawer thingies, a bookcase, 2 big storage baskets, a desk drawer and 3 more boxes! Argh... too much to organise!
Thay're really really good Birdie. In one of the wedding magazine's I saw someone doing wedding collage's that were an A2 piece of card with basically a giant scrapbook page and she charged £150 a collage. I looked on her website and she's currently working on a 3 month delay as she has so much work on! I definately think there is a gap in the market for a more alternative way of presenting the wedding stuff, and what have you got to loose by going to the wedding fayre's and seeing if people are interested? Just take a bowl of sweeties and everyone will come over to have a look!Urgh, I've got a wedding in May and I need to find an outfit (since I've not been to a wedding since I was 15 so have no weddingy outfits) and no-one I know has anything suitable to borrow! This will be the first clothing I've bought this year, I feel a bit cheated that the first thing I treat myself to is for a wedding I'm not too keen on attending! The £22 in my sig is underwear as I needed a nice white strapless bra and matching knickers for trying on wedding dresses, my Mum insisted and she's not someone you argue with!Good idea Tete but I think the bride has seen me in that dress before as a 'day dress'. They're a rich lot (all from Harrogate dahling) and I want to fit in so I want to look expensively dressed (but as cheaply as possible!).
I think we're about the same size Birdie, I have a couple of wedding outfits I'd be happy to lend you if you don't want to buy one. You'd just need to top them with a little cardi or a pashmina and some nice jewellery. Alternatively one of my wedding outfits is a floor length silk dress from Monsoon, originally £260 (I know because mums friend has it!) and I picked it up for £8 in a charity shop - so might be worth checking there first.
NIMs Christmas cheque arrived yesterday, £500 from his dad. Which is great as it'll bring the CC under £2000 again. I think we'll take £50 out of it for a nice meal though, as we need to keep date night up.
Its survey day on the house today. Fingers crossed. Don't get the report for another week though.
NIMs dad has confirmed a deposit will be forthcoming if the survey reveals no major issues. He says its nowhere near the £30k level his mum talked about though, but so long as its £20k we're okay.
Spent the last of my amazon vouchers today on an icing syringe and a million nozzles and rings

Good tip about the charity shops Dinah! We're going shopping this weekend as OH needs a new shirt for Sunday so I'll have a look round the charity shops. If it gets nearer to the date and I'm still struggling I may take you up on your offer to lend me an outfit!
Hope the survey goes well!
£150 for a wedding collage?! Blimey, I'm sitting on a goldmine! I'm going to have to get hold of friends' wedding pictures and get a portfolio set up and try to peddle my wares!

Not off the top of my head, but I will see if I can find it in one of my magazines. Even if you spent say £30 on pretty bits and 3 evenings working on it, it could be a fab side earner for youDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Wow, definitely something you could get into Birdie by the sounds of it! I was going to say the same about borrowing dresses actually, I have a pink chiffony type one and a red and cream Monsoon silky one both in a size 12, I can send pics if you're interested...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Oooh it could be like Multi-Coloured Swap Shop on here! I wouldn't mind seeing pictures please, could I see pictures of your offerings too Dinah, although if your clothes are size 10 I hope they're a roomy size 10?! I might have shoes etc to match something you've got if I'm lucky then I'll just have to get a hat! I'm very excited about buying some sort of hat or fascinator, I've wanted one for years but never had a good reason to get one!
I feel all excited about the possibilty of scrapping for money. Really need to sort out my stash so I know what I have and what I need so I can stock up next weekend at the fair!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Lol Birdie, you'll never have to buy clothes again! You could have a postal clothes borrowing scheme going on here. I think it would be great if you could get some money out of your scrapbooking, it looks extremely professional! Never mind about the jewellery, look at it as £7.50 saved
I've written another review for Dooyoo, havent read it back yet, but rates seem really slow this morning. Usually when you put them on in the evenings you get about 15 rates straight away, i've been on it all day and i've only just got double that. Bit long today!0 -
Hello everyone
Just up at uni atm, I love it up here everyone's young and the place has a real buzz. I met with the finance officer to sort out my scholarship, the way the setup works I get a bit of a fee refund, plus a bit of a refund from money I am spending to go to Uganda for the conference - yippee! Hopefully that will kick off our wedding fund a bit after we spent most of the savings on the house.
See you all on dooyoo later, I think I have over 100 rates to catch up on, and *still* haven't got my amazon voucher. The lady who bought my laminator on ebay on 26 Feb hasn't paid even though I chased her twice and opened a case with ebay
But we bought a fab sofa bed hardly used from ikea on ebay for £80 instead of £250 at ikea, yay! So the house clearout money went to good use. Then hoping to car boot the rest of our carp this weekend, not sure what to expect or how to price things - do you ask realistic prices or just make everything £1?!
Sorry to hear about your OH Flower - get on the scrapbooking mission Birdie, and stay strong on the dress spending:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
