Days to Payday: 7
Spends Account Balance: £80.52 (withdrew £10 cash) + £200 cheque to clear
Bills Account Balance: Still scheduled to be £89.76
Grand total overall: £190.76
Spends today:
£7 on DS1's bus pass (to see me through to the Saturday after payday)
£2.30 - dry shampoo.
MSE-worthy things
1. Paid in the £200 cheque which should clear on Friday.
2 Was meant to be only working half a day today, but DS1 announced late on yesterday evening that he was off into town with his friends this afternoon meaning I didn't have to go home. So I woke up ten minutes earlier and packed my lunch instead of having to go out and buy something.
3. As I logged onto HSBC I noted that they had an offer on balance transfers @ 0% for 16 months. So - knowing we have the 'safety net' of the Halifax card if I got declined, I applied for it, and they have given me a limit of £2500!!! So I will shift the £1800 (ish) onto that and arrange to pay £115 per month so it should be paid off by the end of the 0% period. MARVELLOUS!!!!!
Also had a positive 'word on the sly' with someone on the re-organisation team who suggests that although I (and the colleagues who do same job as me) are likely to be moving offices, it may not be 'that far' - so fingers crossed. She also thought any redundancies would go on sickness (I have had only 6 days in 5.5 years) and Appraisals (I got exceeds), so I am slightly more cheered than I was.Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -

Days to payday: 6.
Spends Account Balance: £220.02
£10.00 cash withdrawal made today
£50.00 cheque I had forgotten about came out (GUTTED) - but it's a deposit for Take That tickets once they announce their tour dates
£0.50 - Interest debited
Bills Account: £89.76 debit.
Grand Total still available: £130.26cr.
Spends:
£3.00 - sweet treats from the pound shop (jelly men, jelly beans and fudge bars)
£2.00 - DS2 cub subs
DH said to me today he'd ran out of money. This is despite him having won £30 on the lottery at work only on Monday! So I'll need to sub him for the next 6 days - very frustrating! Because I haven't been keeping track on his cash withdrawals he reckons he hasn't had his full £200 whereas I reckon he does. Unfortunately I have no way of checking who has withdrawn the cash as we've all been doing it on one card. As soon as I get paid, I am withdrawing his £200
Might get some overtime on Saturday morning as long as the girl who is working it remains ill. Not wishing any ill on her but £60 extra would be nice!Start Date: 27/11/2010

My friend - who missed my birthday in June, which isn't like her at all, came today with a birthday card for my eldest. She also brought me a belated card with £20 in it for me, which I really wish she hadn't done as I am sure she can't afford it. I currently have a bottle of perfume, and TheScript new CD on my 'wishlist' though so my guilt may not last for very long.
Also made a big !!!! up because I thought I would get 2 x Child Benefit payments in this month's pay period, but I miscalculated and instead of getting it tomorrow, I don't get it til next Monday so that's £134.80 down. I could kick myself. Oh well.Start Date: 27/11/2010

Overall balance: - £168.37

Natwest CC Statement hasn't come yet so I rang them and got a balance and did the balance transfer. It's a wee bit more than I thought + the 2.9% BT Fee, so the total for HSBC card is now £1937. I get 15 interest free statements so divvied up means paying £129.10 per month.
Payday tomorrow *does backflip*Start Date: 27/11/2010

Oh no. I am here to confess.
I have just bought a car.
It was "only" £1000 (I haggled him down from £1300). Two lady owners since new, 46k on clock, 8 years old. I just reached a stage where I was completely fed up of getting buses, relying on people for lifts and couldn't bear the thought of another winter of public transport. However cheapest insurance I could find was £460 (TPFT with three years no claims and believe me I looked everywhere) and there was no option to pay monthly so I had to put that on the CC along with the road tax (£86 for six months).
So I wont be spending £57 on bus pass for me, or £22 on bus pass for DS1, DS2 has packed in his footy club at £20 per month, and I have cancelled the slimming website I was a member of at £10, will get around to cancelling the original mobile phone for DS1 (expired in August) and cancel a £5 magazine subscription he's no longer bothered about. So that's £114 extra.
Will do an SOA when I stopped feeling sickStart Date: 27/11/2010

Ouch to thew insurance being that high but at least you're mobile and not reliant on the whims of the bus company.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Pfft. Getting a car is a step forward, don't think of it as too much of a knockback. Get here and sort out your SOA!0

Oi, Uggs-girl!
Get back on here and confess your sins. I know you - if you're not posting you're up to no good...0
