I think you are greedy!! yeah you may think we are two faced, but this co. sent out loads of freebies and you want to save £600 off your shopping, at their cost.
I have shared my freebies and my oh has put the vouchers on his counter (a bank) for his customers to use.
I do not think we should abuse this company!!!!!! They have been really good and I personally as an avid reader I shall use several vouchers on books and feel chuffed as I was fortunate to have a voucher/s!!!.
Some companies abuse their customers and then it feels ok for a little revenge, but what has this co ever done wrong?? I don't know how Tescos claim their costs back, but if you spend your £600 off vouchers at Tescos and they reclaim trhe cash from this company, surely, if everyone was as greedy as you this comapny would go into liquidation.
If you need these vouchers to feed your kids you are not putting your kids first!!! Sorry I have been on benefits myself, after my first husband left me, I had a mortgage of £300 too, but I managed, yes it was hard, very hard, but I didn't smoke, only went out when my family treated me and my friends and parents from school passed on their clothes to my kids!! Embarrassing yes, but I was ever so grateful and at no point did i say basically that i didn't care if i screwed someone cos i had to feed my kids!!!ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -
These vouchers have already changed, presumably due to people abusing them.
The first year I got them (probs 1997ish), it was £1 off any book, and they specifically promoted some £1 books, thus you got one free.
Then it changed to £1 off any book over a certain amount.
Now, it's £1 off certain "Quick Read" books!
If people keep abusing them then what will they do next? It's OK using one or two off your shopping, but if you deliberately obtain 600 for that purpose then that's wrong. No matter how you try and justify it, I hope you're ashamed of youself.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

nobody has bid for any of them yet cos you only need to email world book token and you can get hundreds for free so i dont think ebay will work!!!FloFlo wrote:You could sell them on ebay.
i would give them in at school, healthcentre, jobcentre, library or local shops perhaps then it will encourage people to buy a book and read it or post through letterboxes in surrounding area to target readers the kids would love to post them for you! good luck whatever you do with them!0 -
I haven't sold any on ebay, but they are on there and selling check out current listings WITH bids and completed listings. I'm not saying I agree with these being sold on here or used in great quantities off shopping I was just answering the op's question.0

I too have lots of vouchers, I got 7 free kids books (£1 each, or free with world book day vouchers) for my sons Christmas.. I think Tesco have stopped allowing you to redeem them unless they are offset against the books. I agree, the vouchers are great but its a a shame we cant use them to help our food shopping budget. Peace and love xxx

Im in a similar situation jeppy...It is hard, VERY hard to make ends meet at times but I agree, this goodwill should never be abused. Somehow we get by and it feels good to know we can all support eachother on this site xxThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.
