Have changed my passwords for all sites and have run various spyware checkers and anti-virus programs. Paypal have been emailed and I've raised a dispute, but it could take up to 10 days to resolve. I just thank God I only have about £50 in my bank account right now, or they could've had the lot.
OMG that's terrible! What do you think happened: they hacked your Hotmail account and followed through to Paypal? That makes me want to change my passwords again!edinburgher wrote: »Big woop' - I hear you say - who cares about a lightbulb? Well, said lightbulb has taken me 3-4 visits to the shops to find one with a suitable fitting for our bedside lamps (bargainous Woolworths purchases back in the day).
I hate it when small, seemingly easy things like this take forever to find! Our new steamer was debuted last night and I have to say, those were the tastiest carrots I've ever eaten. Soft, not mushy and with a lovely sweet flavour. I strongly suspect that it will become a firm favourite in edinburgher towers...
That's what I love them for: I never used to like carrotts when they came out bland and mushy, and now I could give Bugs Bunny a run for his money. :T to steamers! Please call me 'Pickle'

I have toyed with the idea of a steamer for a while now, I am thinking I may need to purchase one.

they hacked your Hotmail account and followed through to Paypal?
Using the same password for everything no doubt made it easier...I've changed that now!

Received a letter from A&L, my awesomely useless bank. Apparently I have to go into branch to request that they don't charge me £25 for returning a payment where I've been defrauded.
Sick of being a bloody second class citizen because I have a basic bank account. I pay in £1300 a month and have never been overdrawn/missed a payment/breached the terms of my account, but still I have to jump through their ridiculous hoops.
Will be moving to Natwest for good once my debt is gone - at least they treat me like a regular customer instead of a liability. In case you think I'm just being a moaner, I've been a customer of theirs for 6 years now, so you think I'd be due the benefit of the doubt? :mad:0 -

Brilliant! Well done!
Sorry to hear about the hacking and A<hey aren't great. I'm with them, however I think I've just discovered the only bank worse than them....Nationwide :mad:
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

That sucks. Having said that, I noticed on the main site that they have a free £100 'join us' offer. I take it that you wouldn't recommend them, even for the free £100?Please call me 'Pickle'

Really? Well, I'll be sure to avoid them in future!I take it that you wouldn't recommend them, even for the free £100?
If your credit history leaves you eligible for the offer, by all means take it. Their 'regular' current accounts aren't bad, I'm just treated like scum because I have a 4 year old default - fairly annoying for someone who earns £25k, hasn't been overdrawn or missed a payment in 4 years and isn't an idiot. Anyway, rant overAfternoon Ed, you had a good day?
Not really Doodledo. I spent close to an hour in an A&L branch where a gentleman who didn't speak very good English (the manager!) failed to understand my complaint. I know I don't perform as well sans my morning coffee, but I'm normally fairly easy to understand....0 -
So whats happening with the complaint, did it eventually get sorted?Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Not yet - they have 35 days to respond to it/refund the unwarranted charges, although the branch manager seemed confident that they would.0
