I wish!
You've brought back a fond memory for me of my late Grandmother. Whenever someone mentioned something that would be expensive/financially silly, she would always retort with an amused 'who do you think I am - Mrs Carneige?'
Feeling very chipper today as the rain is washing away the snow, today is Thriday (a combination day of Thursday and Friday invented as I don't 'do' Fridays any more) and I'll be out of the office in 9 hours or so!
It will need to be a NSD after I spent £9.50 on doughnuts yesterdayI know it's quite a lot, but I don't think that it's the end of the world for a box of twelve freshly baked Krispy Kremes to share with work colleagues to celebrate finishing probation? Yay - I am now just that little bit harder to get rid of!

Cheers Gwen - I was wildly exciting and paid it into my savings - will be used to pay down my debts in the near future. I did keep enough to take the GF out for a light lunch this weekendPass us a wee donut then.ta

Afternoon Ed. I have spent the day relaxing. Went into work and had lunch with a friend and then popped to see my beautiful niece and nephew.

Less than amused to see that both my Hotmail and Paypal have been hacked, with some chancer trying to send himself £850 from my current account
Have changed my passwords for all sites and have run various spyware checkers and anti-virus programs. Paypal have been emailed and I've raised a dispute, but it could take up to 10 days to resolve. I just thank God I only have about £50 in my bank account right now, or they could've had the lot.0 -

 Didn't know that could happen, well I did but you know what I mean! I have a paypal account but if anyone tries to hack it they'll get nothing as it's my old cashline number (lost the card) and have purposefully not updated it - helps me with not spending on ebay
Congrats on the end of probation, mmmmm donuts!0 -
Man, is it soggy out there! Popped up to the supermarket and it is raining cats and dogs
Picked up some lunch stuff for next week, a bottle of alcoholic ginger beer and some vegetable crisps as a surprise treat for the GF this evening and an energy saving lightbulb for a lamp.
'Big woop' - I hear you say - who cares about a lightbulb? Well, said lightbulb has taken me 3-4 visits to the shops to find one with a suitable fitting for our bedside lamps (bargainous Woolworths purchases back in the day). So, we now have light again and the new fitting draws 8W (as opposed to the 40W that it used to draw). Longevity, less power and better for the environment? It's lucky that I'm not one of those moaners who says they hate the light emitted by energy saving bulbs
Our new steamer was debuted last night and I have to say, those were the tastiest carrots I've ever eaten. Soft, not mushy and with a lovely sweet flavour. I strongly suspect that it will become a firm favourite in edinburgher towers...
This afternoon will be a highly unproductive round of computer gaming, reading my new George Orwell novel and watching my GF bake..
Managed to transfer another £69 into my savings last night - the realisation that I manage to make an offer to the DCA against my last debt within the next 12 weeks is starting to sink in.0
