Make sure you do - us guys love for their OH to pester them about engagement rings :p

The weather is fantastic today - I've been out for a walk and am engaged in some culinary fun in the kitchen - making duck breast prosciutto and confit duck.

Went to Covent Garden today for a snoop about a food market. Picked up some cured German sausages, sweet mustard, lovely foccacia and a smoked aubergine dip from a Mediterranean stall.

Lunch was a delicious bratwurst and gelato from Scoop (I love that shop), followed by a walk to Lincoln Inn Fields. Nice to sit out in the sun for once :)

It was thanks Doodle, I finally feel like our life is starting to be the way I'd like it to on a full-time basis :)

Sorry to hear about your work troubles, hope you have some luck with the new opening. Starting to get concerned about my job application too - who'd be a Civil Servant, eh? I think the haters think that it's caviar and cigars all round, not ridiculous bureaucracy and disappointment!

Well it's about time you felt like that :D

Yep my job was totally down to red tape and policies etc. I am decided whether to put a grievance in.

I am trying to use it as a time to make some decisions on what I want to do in the future whilst I am young enough to do it. Maybe going to Uni or completely retraining.

Wouldn't be the worst idea by a long shot, but you'd need to do some real soul searching to decide what would make you happiest.

Personally I'd love to go down the whole buy-to-let landlord route, but as I don't even own my own house that's maybe a bit ambitious :D

Who knows what the future holds, but as with anything, it's not a career without its difficulties. ;)

Hope you eventually get to do it, though, Ed. :T

    Have a nice weekend!
