Ok so I am really trying - I have done all the surveys in my inbox for the last few days and surprisingly I have qualified for nearly all of them.
My Maximiles points are now at 5487 with another 150 to go on from a survey I did.:T
Moneywise things are really tight, every August is a struggle to pay the bills as usually we have been on holiday but this time it was just DS who had a trip away, the positive out of this is that all bills have been paid (normally we would cancel the DD for bills to save money) and only a small amount is on the credit card (which makes a big change).
DH had his osteopath the other night and we were scrimping for money - he has withdrawn it from his account but now there is not enough to cover a cheque so I will need to pay some money in for him.
DS should have had his osteopath the other night but I forgot :mad:and they rung me, we have rebooked for this morning so that is £39.00 to find plus possibly another £39.00 missed appointment fee
Never fear though I have DH's credit card to pay this with :rotfl:
Can't wait until tomorrow as it is payday for DH and me - I have £1.40 left in my account and DH will have about £4 once I have paid in enough to cover the cheque.

DS has been to the Osteopath and they did not charge me for the missed appointment :j so the cost was only £39.00.
They have decided that he does not need to go back, he has not been for 6 weeks and has no problems so that is one less thing I need to sort.
Just waiting for pay day tomorrow although I have already had my payslip so know what I am getting!0 -
good that son doesn't need to go again and that you've managed well for the month0

you know I read a diary like yours, and I realise that despite what I believe are big issues in my life, they are SO much less than some other peoples. It gives me a metaphoric slap round the head a bit.
Well done on reducing your debt despite ALL that has gone on this year. That is truely awesome
I hope that the rest of the year is just as productive.
The thing with the CSA is really a joke isn't it. Just because your ex can't keep his legs shut, doesn't mean that he shouldn't still pay a reasonable amount for the child he fathered with you. Git
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi chev (and Taxi)
Thanks for popping by.
I think issues in your life are what you make them, compared to some people I actually feel quite fortunate even with everything that has gone on and all that is still going on - I know some people that have a lot more problems than me.

Just watched some more videos and Maximiles are now up to 5717 so that's a nice jump over the last few days, not far to go til I can cash out - well 8300
Should have been payday today but I have not even checked, need to finish budget sheet for last month and start a new one.

Watched some more videos plus got credited with 80 points for doing my Asda monthly shop so my points are now 5932.:j
You can only rate videos 3 times so I must be nearly there now so my points may slow down soon.:(0 -
Balances as per statements:
Barclaycard - £7348.72
Amazon - £2221.78
Abbey - £231.22
Total - £9801.72
Reduction - £34.72
Obviously not the best but I am quite pleased as it was August and we had a lot of expenditure and a few years ago I would not have even made my minimum payment, I would have spent the money and then incurred charges and then paid it back the following month leaving us short again.
September will be better :T <
positive statement!!!0 -
I have done my budget for the month and even though CSA payments have stopped ex still has to pay some arrears off so I still got some money this month.
So I have paid my Abbey credit card off :j:T:j
Only £235 but it brings me down to 2 credit cards but this may go back up if Abbey offer me a decent balance transfer as Barclaycard is at a ridiculous rate and Halifax is not too bad but the debt only reduces by £5 every month
Have been shopping today for school items - DS has gone up another size  so that was another 5 pairs of shoes for him!!!
Luckily I have been putting onto my Brantano card £10 per week so I had money to spend.
Ordered his shirts last week - £12 each . I don't mind though these will last him for the next 2 years and then he leaves. We don't buy shirts from normal school retailers as they just don't last so I buy from Debenhams.
Managed to get DD most of hers from Sainsburys when I had a £2 off £20 spend.
Hopefully nothing much to spend on this month.
Maximiles is now up to 6277 so not long to go for a £30 Amazon voucher plus Swagbucks is at 681 - think I need 849 for Amazon voucher. I must try harder with SB as FF seems to get a voucher every week :rotfl:0 -
