As mentioned above I have not managed to clear my Abbey credit card but I think I have about £230 left which [STRIKE]hopefully[/STRIKE] I will clear this month with extra to the Halifax credit card :T:j
Will update balances when all my statements are in later in the week.
EE0 -
Balances as per statements:
Barclaycard - £7404.70
Amazon - £2233.55
Abbey - £694.55
Total - £10332.80
Reduction - £47.00
I am not too bothered about the small reduction as I have paid £465.00 recently but it missed the statement date.
So I just need to pay £229.55 to clear this :T
Don't think I will be able to pay this off just yet although I have the funds this month my money is staggered throughout the month and I need to pay my Barclaycard payment which is about £170 so hopefully within 2 weeks I can have it paid.

Doh!!!
Just realised that as I have paid some money which is not showing my debts are actually under £10,000 :j:T
It's been a while since they were there
Obviously won't celebrate properly until the statements prove it

Nice one:DProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
I am remaining positive at all times eve though there is a lot going on.
Poorly cat who had improved got worse last week so took him to the vets again, saw a different vet who suggested an x-ray (we had thought all along they would probably mention this). So an appointment to be told this with an anti-inflammatory cost £36.
The x-ray was also last week (along with some blood tests due to excessive weight loss) and the outcome is that they think he has been hit by a car/blunt force injury earlier in the year. As it has not been treated correctly his hip joint is crumbling because of a type of arthritis - hence the pain and the odd walk - so the only option is to have his hip joint removed and apparently the muscles which are there will do the job of a hip joint. Obviously I gave the go ahead even though the cost is £450 + VAT .
The bloods are all normal which we are so pleased about and it is likely he is not eating because he is in so much pain.
So I picked him up from the vets and paid another £310  and he has surgery today.
He was given some Metacam which is an oral suspension so we are calling it his Calpol :rotfl: anyway it is a liquid which he has to be given in a syringe - he absolutely loves it. I put the syringe near his mouth and he licks and chews it and before you know it he has had his medicine.
Since he has had this on Friday he has managed to climb the stairs to the bedrooms and also climbed up the back steps which he has not been able to do since last week. :T
At the moment I am swinging from being worried he won't pull through to thinking how great his life will be once he has had the op.
I must check through my diary because I am sure I took the cat to the vet in February when he came home one morning limping, at the time DH said he had been hit by a car but at the vets he had some bite marks so we put it down to a cat bite which was infected but now I am thinking DH was right (for a change)
I have checked the bank accounts and I should be able to cover it from the accounts without needing to get into debt :T although it will mean my payment to debt this month is going to be quite low.

Also why do these things happen when you have already committed to other things which cost money?
So the other FRiday we went to see a show and had dinner out, this Friday we were out with work which involved a pub meal, Saturday we had a wedding reception for a friend of mine from school and then DH had booked tickets for us to see Peter Andre in August and this was all before Wednesday and the intial visit to the vets
The reception was lovely, completely different to my best friends wedding earlier in the year and it made me reflect on my wedding which DH and I do after every wedding reception.
As you know DH and I have been married for 10 years and when we got married we did it in secret and just had our good friends as witnesses (the girl who got married on Sat was my witness). So we organised everything which was very low key, had a pub lunch with the witnesses and then in the evening took our parents (DH took his mum and relative who now lives with us as his dad is no longer with us) to another pub and told them what we had done :T:j:rotfl::T
So much less fuss and no issues with stress or the fact that I would want everyone to have dressed in something purple and not everyone would have done that and so it would have ruined my day.
Now the only thing I have left to do is to sort out what we will do for 2 weeks of the holidays that DH and I have booked off and now I have spent the money. Guess I will have to make some money from somewhere :rotfl:
