OOh money in from betting site which I asked to withdraw the other day. So another £6.55 to debt to DH makes £129.45 to pay.

I am so desperate to clear debt to DH but I am waiting for some payments to come out of my account plus I need petrol today - I may cheat and wait to do my update for balances this month in case I can find some money from somewhere.
I have withdrawn £30+ from my Paypal account, some of this is surveys and some is from selling on ebay the other week - this should arrive either Weds or Thurs.
Oh just remembered that I am paying for DH's acupuncture this week so that will be another £45 I have to pay out.
We went to do a car boot on Saturday, I was hoping to sell some of my 2000+ books from when I sold on Amazon but we arrived at 7am and there was a sign out to say that no more pitches were available  so we came home again :rotfl:
Could not do a Sunday car boot as DD had a party in the morning so next Sat I am getting up early and will be arriving at the car boot for 6am to try and get a pitch.
Lets hope I am better by then, I have had a sore throat since Friday which turned into a cold on Friday night and by Saturday morning I also had a cough to go with it. Most of Sat and Sun passed in a blur and DH has been doing the driving as he was the better of the two of us.
Today though he is quite poorly so I have had to drive him to work - this will probably be because he used the hedge trimmer yesterday and he is unable to cope with loud noise but we didn't even think about it when he was doing it.
We have a meeting tonight so not sure if he will be well enough to go - but I will be going as I have some expenses to claim for postage which is about £30+.
Maybe I will reach my target after all. :T

So it's pay day tomorrow, the paypal money has arrived plus I have a small amount left in my account so I have duly transferred £129.45 to DH to clear the debt owed to him for a car repair :j:T:j
Can start on the Abbey credit card next because the balance is under £1000!!

Hi beanielou
I would like to think it would be a maximum of 2 months, if I wanted to try my luck I might suggest I could clear it in a month .
Hmmm maybe that can be my challenge for June?!?!?

Hi
Just posting on the last day with my figures:
Balances as per statements:
Barclaycard - £7440.06
Amazon - £2237.78
Abbey - £701.96
DH's card - £0
Total - £10379.80
Reduction - £685.36 :T:j:T:j:T:j:T
I am so pleased with my reduction this month, it's amazing what a bit of effort can do to the figures. And if course I am really pleased that DH is paid off as I feel much better about not owing him any money when he has more debt than me (though of course I did not owe him I owed the credit card!!).
So really my next target should be to get under £10,000 which should be fine as I have my extra wages again this month so maybe as I need to try harder I should aim to get rid of the Abbey card in June
Well all I can do is try!!

Well....
I guess I tempted fate by saying that I would try to pay off my Abbey card in June.
Dh was driving my car when he ran over a nut and bolt , we knew he had run over something and when we wound the window down it sounded like we had a horse and cart following us :rotfl:
Dh changed the wheel for me but my spare is a bit ropey and only good in emergencies so I went to have my tyres changed and of course the other side was nearly at the legal limit so I replaced 2 tyres which cost £180 + (I do have Bridgestone which are classed as premium range)
So that has taken some of my extra money as I do not save towards car repairs etc as all spare money goes to the debt.
Then the washing machine broke, luckily we have a Dyson so the call out and all parts is £99 :T. One of the parts we needed is £100+ so it works out really good. The machine is now 8 years old but given how much it cost to buy I am loathe to buy a new one plus where would the money come from?
Luckily I had some spare money in the childminders account to pay this.
Forgot to say that the other weekend I did 2 car boots to try and get rid of some of my books. The first one I did I made £16  and the second one I made £1.25  but the positive in this is that I got rid of about 100 books which went to good homes.
So that only leaves me with 1900 books to go :rotfl:
I think I should be doing another one this weekend at the same place as I made the £16, I obviously only took a few books last time so I am going to take a different selection this time.
I know I could just donate to charity but they only keep the books for 3 weeks and then they are culled and either go to be pulped or a book seller pays 3p a book for them and I'm not sure what he does with them. I don't really want all these lovely books to be pulped when they could have a good home.
I will try this car boot and then decide from there what to do.
Just sorting out my account so should be able to make an extra payment to my Abbey card later.

I have been missing in action again, meant to make a payment last week but I had to pay all my bills from my wages before the rest of my income hit my account so I looked really skint for a while.
The money has arrived so I have sent a payment to Abbey credit card of £380.00 - I am hoping to send another payment next week as pay day is early as I get paid on the last Friday of the month.
Not had chance to do car bot yet as it keeps raining and would you believe it is scheduled to rain this weekend as well
Need to sort out the food money as we all contribute £100 per month but as I cook the most if I see a good offer or we have run out of anything I buy it on my debit card and then never take the money from the food pot - need to get on top of this and pay some money back into my account so I can make another overpayment.
EE0 -
I have sorted the food money and have paid myself back £85 which I have paid straight to my credit card.
Pay day is Friday and I have £6 in the bank, went out with my friend today and luckily she paid.
I have some expensive weeks coming up so need to make sure I don't overspend as hope to clear my Abbey credit card this month.
Went out for Fathers Day and had a lovely meal in a pub we haven't been to before. Took relative with us - I have had a moan on MG's thread about the fact one son only sent a card and the other did nothing, they did not even ring on the day or actually since that day.
Relative has updated his will as he no longer has the house, he has bequeathed us everything that he has on his death and also we will be his executors which makes sense as he lives with us we will have all his papers anyway and we are aware of the funeral he wants and I am not sure if his sons would carry out his wishes.
DH has run out of money this month but it did include half term when he went a bit over the top with spends so as long as I keep him busy at work he should not spend. He really needs to be clearing his credit cards as quickly as possible but there are just no funds to do this yet. Hoping that now he is back driving he will be claiming mileage which will increase his pay every month.
