Errr why 5 pairs of shoes?

    Well....

It is 1 pair for school, 1 pair for PE, 1 pair for Drama and 2 pairs of trainers for home (one for best and one for the field)

It only cost £105 for 5 which I thought was quite reasonable.

Personally I never remember being taken out to buy new shoes each time my shoe size went up but I don't remember wearing shoes too small for me so I guess I probably was.

I'm just wondering if it is only my kids who seem to go up a size every 5 months or so that require replacement of all shoes and not just a few at a time.

  • So my target for the month is to PAD every day, so today I have PADed £1.01 to Halifax credit card.

Think I will have to look at snowball calculator tomorrow as Halifax is a lower rate of interest than Barclaycard but with a smaller balance so I feel like I can get somewhere with it whereas Barclaycard is not going to be cleared for ages.

Hmmm lets see if the snowball calculator can persuade me to start on the Barclaycard.

  • Not had time to look at the snowball calculator today but will have time over the weekend.

I have PADed £1.02 to Halifax.

Also my Maximiles are up to 6382 :T
In August I managed to accumulate 1590 points which is the most I have ever done - normally it is only 100.

Lets see if I can beat it for September :D

I'm obviously very stingy. My two got school shoes and trainers. Otherwise they wear Crocs (at a fiver a time on offer from SportDirect) or wellies. THe last two being a multisize thing so they usually wear out at pretty much the same time they outgrow them.

Out of curiousity why can't he wear his trainers for PE at school rather than have a dedicated pair?

I actually thought I was being stingy :rotfl:

As a family we find wellies too hot in summer so have trainers for the field and then of course as they get dirty he has to have some that he can wear when we go out.

Oh no - PE trainers are for PE and nothing else, heaven forbid should dirty trainers be worn in a school hall.
I'm not really sure why but they have always expected the children to have a pair of shoes/trainers for drama only. I assume this is so the floor does not get damaged by either stones or anything else that might be found on the sole of a shoe so he can't even wear them at weekends.
  • So I have been PADing every day so far - well 5 days is pretty good going :rotfl:

My Maximiles is up to 6707 :T.

I am following Memorygirl's September Challenge and have opted for 20 NSD's and a budget of ??? - can't quite remember but it is not much!!!
  • Still PADing plus had an extra payment today from Amazon vouchers which I sold to the children's account as DS needed school books!!!

    Maximiles now at 6967 :T

Not a lot else been happening although I did do 4.5hrs of relief work so that will be some pennies in the pot soon.
