I was the same as your DD at 13, got loads of unwanted attention, it was awful TBH. Didn't help that the rest of me was quite small so got called Dolly Parton. After having 2 children I am somewhat less well endowed these days.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I swear I went to bed flat chested one night and woke up with 36GG's the next day!! I think I was about 13 too Xx

  • Thanks ladies for all your comments.

I hope she doesn't get much bigger as bras can only get more expensive.
I am lucky and she knows how to handle male attention - she is very shy around people so boys are not really on her radar although she chats with a lot of them via social media.

Not much going on here - did a couple of days of housework mixed with reading MSE and various blogs. I actually have a tidy bedroom and can see the majority of the floor - I still think we own too much and wardrobes have boxes on them filled with stuff that we think we need but that is all for another day.

Brought YNAB up to date ready for a new month - just need to look at that tomorrow and mark off what has been paid today. Will be sending DH's 'spare' money to his debts in the next couple of days otherwise he just fritters it away on Amazon buying all sorts of crazy stuff.

DD has a friend round for a sleepover so had to get some snack bits in - hopefully they will go to bed earlier than last time - 6am!!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

  • Ouch - 6am!
Hope they managed an earlier and quieter night than that...
  • Get some oven pride for your oven EE - works absolute wonders! I do my oven every month and it looks brand new. Once a month is excessive but now it's in my routine I can't not do it now. Always cheaper in Home Bargains. I am all for chemicals though and it is full of it, maybe not for you if you prefer something more natural. Astonish paste is also good (blue tub) but you need to give it a good scrub, but oven pride is literally no effort, in the bag left over night and rinsed the next day xx

It was oven pride I used, I can confirm that leaving shelves to soak for 3 days is the best way to get the grime off:rotfl:(usually I leave it 4 hours but not any more)
I must get some more as need to do 1 more shelf and the glass door.
I don't think I have a HB near me but I do have a B&M so will check them out as paid £4 in Tesco:eek:
  • Ooh its been a busy weekend and week so far.

Relative is poorly and has been in bed for a week - his Parkinsons has affected his legs again and he cant walk, I only found this out on Thurs evening and by Friday I had kicked some butts and got social services involved, got carers 4 times a day and sorted out an urgent consultants appointment.

I have been in twice a day on Fri, Sat and Sun to do him some meals and get drinks. I called in after work last night and then today had to take a half day from work to take him to hospital appointment and then once home sort his meds and his tea.

He has new medication to hopefully get him walking again but not sure if he will walk again and of course that will then open up further discussion about where he will live and what help he will need - he is favouring a care home.

DH is seriously struggling again, he cant cope with the thought that he will lose his father figure and so has not been to visit (although too be honest he worked all weekend and will have worked 12 days without a day off by this weekend. I am hoping he will come and visit relative this weekend as he is doing much better now he has carers and me sorting his food.

Its never boring in the Elephant household.

Not been able to pay money to DH's debts as the last of the money in his bank account was used to pay an urgent bill at work and he is waiting for a BACS reimbursement - once that is in I will move some money about.

DD is enjoying her new school and is settling in well!!
  • SOrry to hear about relative :(

But so happy DD is enjoying her new school, definitely the right decision made there.

Hope you're looking after yourself too take care x
