I was wondering if it's worth buying the vouchers for merlin passes from tesco before the feb points come out, just in case they change the pass details, like they did a couple of years ago to include legoland and sealife, but it made the pass more expensive.

I wouldn't want to wait, only to discover that in feb tesco want £50 in points for a premium pass, and don't offer the old style pass anymore!

My thoughts too. We have enough cc vouchers to buy three so may do that now and buy the fourth when Februarys arrive.

I know it's a long shot but.... when you get your gift voucher through, does it specifically say it is for an annual pass not a premium pass? Also does it actually have printed on the gift voucher, that you paid £75 (not £200 for a premium pass) ?;)

The gift voucher does not depict whether it is redeemable for a standard or premium pass ?? Basically it just says 'Annual Pass' & doesnt state the value of the gift voucher.

£200 for a Premium Pass is a joke - basically youve got to pay an extra £50 or more for what you already got on last years pass ?? Youve got to be out of your mind to pay that.

Assuming the standard pass stays at £150, then not sure now Tesco could increase as they are 25% which is £37.50

I can't see Merlin group putting the standard pass up from £150.

Unless Tesco only start to offer the premium pass at £200, then hence £50 in tesco vouchers.

I need to get 4 vouchers, and I am still undecided if I should buy them for £300 cash (4*£75) or use £150 of tesco vouchers.

Need to make decision before 15th Jan when the £75 offer finishes.

I can see the dilemna as you would only be getting double the value if you used your Tesco vouchers at this time, as opposed to the usual 4X. It depends if you can think of anything else to spend your Tesco vouchers on and of course if you have the £300 to spare. It could also be argued that the Tesco vouchers were free and that changing them for a years unlimited Theme Park admission is a pretty good way of spending them.

If your group of 4 includes 2 under 12s then the family of 4 package was discounted for most of last year, £80 p.p. so that's just caused you more to think about, sorry.

I ordered on 2nd Jan and still no vouchers. I phoned Chessington and she couldn't understand why they hadn't been sent but said they will that day. I'm still waiting (3 days later) but with the snow the post has been very slow! Will phone again tomorrow... good thing that with that weather I wouldn't use them anyway...So I will say try to speak to them....
