  • There is no way you are talking to yourself

Its more like your fantastic budgeteering skills leave us all silenced!

Even if you were though, at least you always be right!:)

*waves at FF* - sorry, did you say something?! :D

I think that when I have no more debt I will wander over onto the Mortgage Free board, so I suspect I'll be around for a few years yet

Thanks for the support guys *hugs to all*

I think that because I'm sub-4k now and it's all downhill from here etc, I've been getting disheartened for some reason. I'm just bored of living like this, counting every penny and being really dull about money. If I don't who else will though?

I'm also getting quite "meh" about having a lodger again. I like my own space and don't necessarily adore Mr F's sister, so this isn't an idea I would have gone for myself. Harrumph.

On the plus side, I saw a friend I haven't seen for over a year tonight and got to eat chips, so woo for the weekend. Hopefully normal perky Fresian will return soon :D

Ideally she will have moved out by the end of November as I turn 30 in December () and don't want to still be living as someone's flatmate when that happens. I'm not so bothered about being 30, but having achieved none of the other milestones I expected to achieve at 30, I would like to NOT be a flatmate :rotfl:

I have been able to save at least £100 a month since previous lodger moved out, so don't see why this shouldn't be the case when the new one arrives. I am very hopeful about being debt-free by the end of the year, mainly because all her rent is going into the savings account, meaning that I'm not relying on it but using my frugal wits instead :D

Perhaps a pamper session is called for? S&G and similar stuff is a great mood booster in my experience! :D

My budgeteering crisis has been brought on by buying £30 of makeup this month. A lot for two items, I agree, but takes me over the £24.99 "everything else" budget in the frugal challenge. I have paid cash for them, not getting into any additional debt. The annoying thing is that the blusher stuff will last for 6-9 months and the eyeshadow for longer still, but I'm continuing to beat myself up about it. There has to be a middle way!
