Ah I see, very clever! Mine just works month by month and calculates the totals as goes along, more of an incomings and outgoings thing. It does go all the way up to a year though, so I can put a 'non essential' spend in this month and it'll tell me how it affects my budget in December! Sounds useless but it's a good demotivator!

Hope the interview went well xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Not sure how the interview went to be honest, and the more they told me about the role the less sure I was about it, so if I don't get it then it's not the end of the world.

On a budgeteering note, a NSD for me :A

Now off to visit Mr Fresian's other sister, who is a bit of a trial. Bah.

Enjoy SIL - family is always such fun.

I hope the interview went well, always good to see what's about even if you don't actually want it.

Hi F_F, not been on for a while but glad I see the bit about the spreadsheet cos after you sent me it I hadn't a clue how it really worked, ha!

Anyway hope all is well with you, should try and do a catch up in Edinburgh sometime, I'm taking a break from MSE for a while so it would be good to catch up! Will be lurking, take care x

That would be lovely! Do you still have my mobile number from the meet in Edinburgh? Text me if you're in the area, if you've lost my number then PM me!

Well, I didn't end up meeting pointypenguin yesterday as I'm still full of the cold so I legged it home from Glasgow and had a lovely nap instead :o I haven't spoken to anyone this morning yet but last night I was very croaky and sounded odd in the extreme :( Hopefully that sorts itself out as I have meetings at work all day and am meant to be going out tonight for drinks (More likely to be dinner and a cola now...)

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £87
    Entertainment - £30 :A No spend yet!
    Groceries - £155.23

    Savings - £2926.35
    Loan balance - £5387.18
Outstanding debt is therefore - £2460.83

    It's 14 days until payday :D

I have to be very careful with my cash though - I'm in Manchester for four days next week and although my meals will all be paid for by expenses, I have to front up the cash first  I think that there will be small PADs until I'm back from there and know where I stand money-wise. Overtime tomorrow will help though - it will take me over 20 hours this month again!

Right, best go and make Mr Fresian a coffee as he's giving me a lift to the train station again this morning. Gawd bless 'im :D

Yay to that loan to savings figure - will be gone in no time! :T

Boo to having to pay up front when its work related!

I remember seeing a while back that you considered moving back to the country - I can't remember if it was back to where Ma and Pa Fresian are - is this still the plan?

I think it would still be our long-term plan, but housing up there has been pushed up to crazy prices and we would probably be cheaper buying a different flat in Edinburgh than trying to get a house up there :( The house I have been lusting after is still for sale though...My dad looked at it (from outside) and thinks that it probably needs a lot of work done to the roof. No jobs up there anyway that would pay me enough money, plus the high costs of food/fuel *sigh*

Off to get ready for work soon - I'm doing overtime again. My initial plan was to do three hours, but the other manager texted me at half five this morning asking me to hold the fort as he was at a party :rotfl: I'm going to be in for ages! Also, I'm probably going to miss out on lunch with Mr Fresian and his mum because of it :( Harrumph. Still, it's all money in the kitty I suppose...
