    Good morning!

    I'm just about to pack up my stuff and prepare for my final meetings of the week then back home today :j

    I did fall off the MSE wagon a little yesterday as I got myself a phone upgrade to the HTC Desire phone (Would have cost £449 if I paid for it off the shelf :eek:) Luckily I got the handset for nothing and the overall increase in my monthly payment isn't too bad. I have spent a lot of time playing with it, and I'm in love! Justified it on the basis that it was still cheaper than an iPhone!!

    Better get packing...

    You should see the budgeteering app I have downloaded for it :D
  • Hey you totally deserve a treat! It's not as if it was an impulse buy, I am sure you looked for the most MSE way of doing it. Enjoy it, I'm lumbered with my piece of carp until doomsday (well, another year)

    Old phone now sold, just waiting for the envelope etc to come along - I'm getting £29 for it, which is more than I thought, and will be getting £3.60 cashback from Quidco too :D

    One thing bugging me is that the phone has imported all my FB contacts, so that when I try and call someone it offers me people I know from MSE, some of whom I don't know in real life. Going to spend some time figuring out how to change that later...

    Final post about the wonders of the new phone...for now!! I can take a picture and instantly pap it on FB, which is helpful indeed, and allowed me to post a picture from the Fair Votes rally I went to yesterday :D I have also been using the shopping list function and the budgeteering app I found to update spends instantly. It means I can't forget to post them on the Weekly Spend Challenge. I think I am done on the old spreadsheet though, I keep forgetting to fill it in and then it becomes a total industry :(

    In other news, there is a Glasgow MSE Meet planned, anyone fancy coming? I shall be getting the bus over from Edinburgh, so if any East Coast peeps fancy it, let me know.

    There are currently 5 days until payday and the accounts stand thusly...

    PAD = £8
    Groceries = £104.00
    Entertainment = £18.86
    Purse = £16.17

    I plan to spend the £16 in my purse this week and that's it!

    Morning all!

    Three days until payday and all is well :D I do think that I'm going to make a return to budgeting payday to payday though - working it from the 1st of the month just doesn't suit me at all. This does mean that I'm going to have a surplus this month - the following monies are currently sitting in my accounts:

    Bills account - £97.12 (When I moved my current account recently a Scottish Power direct debit didn't get paid, they didn't double my payment this month and I'm still in credit, so this can go to the debts!)

    Entertainment - £18.86 I think this will stay in this account as I might have some nights out coming up...

    Groceries - £100.84 I am going to have to spend about £30 this week on cat items and also coffee (Down to my last jar, can't be allowed!) but I'm hoping that come payday I will be able to transfer at least £60 into the debt pot.

    Apart from that, things are plodding along nicely in my little DFW world. I have nearly 54000 T0luna points, which means I should be able to redeem for another Amazon voucher in a few weeks. I do need to start doing more opinions on there, but it's the kind of thing where I have to be in the mood for it...

    Luckily there is still gallons of overtime on the go at work just now. I'm doing an hour this morning, two hours tomorrow and four or five on Saturday. I'm also down to work the bank holiday (Woo, double time!!) I am quite tired with working all these extra hours, but the extra cash is worth it and I don't know how much longer it will be available for.

    Right, better move if I'm to be in for eight :rotfl:
