Money
PAD/Spends = £55
Groceries = £137.19
Entertainment = £18.85
There is £10.25 in my purse.
Pretty quiet weekend all in all. I spent most of yesterday watching telly in bed and coughing, my cold is still clinging on to life
I did go and see Four Lions yesterday and really enjoyed it. It's in no way the evil piece of pro-bombing nonsense that the Daily Mail seems to think!
Work calls....overtime if I can get in on time

And the reason I only have £10 in my purse is because I bought this yesterday. Oops0

Thats lovely, good job you did - it now says SOLD OUT!!0

The trouble is that I would spend all my wages on that site if I let myself!!
Received a £12 Amazon voucher today for some Toluna surveys and also got a cheque in the post to cover the cost of the pizza I ordered for market research a while ago. I should get another £1.12 cashback on that too
Apart from that, my only spend was on hairdye, new hair to follow this weekend methinks!0 -
Adventures in foreign travel today - I'm off to Manchester
Hopefully the hotel fulfills its promise of free internet....if not I shall return on Friday!
Two loads of washing done before I go - I'm coming back at lunchtime to finish the packing (As having enough clean pants is contingent on the washing drying) then Mr Fresian is giving me a lift to the station.
Have a good day all!

Morning!
I have arrived in Manchester and am settled into the hotel. It's quite swanky - there are iMacs in the room and five chips counted as a side portion last night and cost £3.50 :eek: Woo for work paying for dinner :A
The iMac is already being used as a telly and I'm back on my trusty laptop - it has a right mouse button, something I just can't get used to being without when I use a Mac! I've spent the last wee while watching the BBC news and despairing of the country...I think if you're Scottish you always feel quite sad when the Tories do well (A generalisation I know, but generally we don't like them and they have hee-haw mandate to govern up here) I voted LibDem and am genuinely upset at them jumping into bed with Cameron and his cronies. My vote would never have been intended to help the Tories *sob* Still, there is now a hope, I suppose, that they will try and rein in the nuttier elements of Tory policy, so we'll see how it goes.
Not a lot of MSE news from here.....I'm trying to keep my spends low this week as I know how easy it is to boredom spend when you're away from home. Tonight I'm going to try and find somewhere nice for dinner that's quite cheap, not sure where though. I have received some money from Quidco though so that should pay out at the end of the month - only about £18 but it's better than nothing!
Right, better go and sort myself out for work - and leave early to try and find the office :rotfl:

I feel your pain re Posh Dave - but just out of curiousity - what's it like in Englandshire at the moment - is there great joy & expectation? Or is Manchester a Labour stronghold & also in mourning?
Just curious
Enjoy work....

Good luck to the new Scottish Secretary (Lib Dem bod apparently) - I think he'll have "fun" in his new role! :eek: Anyone got a spare tin hat and body armour? :rotfl:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

I didn't go out for dinner last night as I really don't like eating on my own in public - I've always been funny about that. I just picked up some stuff and ate in my room.
No spends to report, and no MSE activity either. The food I have been buying is covered by work, so no worries there. Current finances are:
PAD/Spends = £52
Groceries = £120.78 (Mr Fresian has been left to fend for himself!)
Entertainment = £18.85
There is £5.45 left in my purseI am only likely to spend this on water/food for the train tomorrow as any expensable things have been going on my credit card. I shall be getting many Tesco points when I check out tomorrow!!
Better dash off to the Office That Fun Forgot (I really miss the smiley with the rolling eyes....)
