For shoes I always find that a wee foray to TK Maxx can be fruitful and although they don't often do ClootiesMum size clothes there I do find the shoes are good.

The thought of going to the local shopping centre proved too much for me, so no new work tops, and no tatties for shepherds pie. Had a mincey pasta adventure instead which was very good indeed.

Instead of going out to the shops today I did:

    • dishes
    • two loads of washing, hung outside and folded and put away :A
    • dusting
    • cleaned the bathroom (Urgh is not even the word)
    • took two bags of junk to landfill and three bags to the local charity shop
So, I've been very productive with my days holiday but am running out of things to tidy up and clean!! Tomorrow I'm planning on heading to Aldi to get some cheap veg in the morning and then the rest of the day will fall together from there I hope!

We're off to Newcastle on Saturday which should be fun, I imagine that there will be plenty of pictures on my FB for you to have a good look at!

    Night all :D

I've had a nice quiet day today doing not a lot apart from playing computer games to be honest!!

Mr Fresian was kind enough to come to Aldi with me earlier though to carry the bags. I managed to do a good top-up shop for £17 and shouldn't need a lot next week. They currently have 500g lean steak mince for £1.99 which I think is a good buy and the quality is comparable to the other major supermarkets, so I bought two packs of that, along with their little cartons of apple juice which are tasty, 1 of my 5 a day and only 99p for six! I'm also back on their version of Special K which isn't as tasty but is very much cheaper considering that I have it for breakfast most days. Needs must when you're a budgeteer!

I will probably be back in Aldi on Sunday when the new Super 6 starts as they have broccoli again as well as new potatoes, so if I take £5 cash I hopefully won't get carried away!!

£70 worth of computing equipment arrived for Mr Fresian's birthday today and he's very pleased with it all. I'm also glad I got him a couple of small things to open on the day itself as he's not a man who likes to wait for presents! We're off out on Monday night to celebrate the Blessed Event, but are having trouble finding somewhere that isn't horribly expensive and will cater to us (dedicated meatasauruses) and our vegan friend. Any ideas????

    The Benefit stuff?

I get that - I really like it. However, I thought I'd try the Forest Berry (or whatever it's called) version a few weeks ago. It turned the milk *bright* purple, tasted only of sugar and was totally vile. Back to the plain stuff, pronto!

    Happy Birthday to Mr F!

A cautionary word about the new keyboard - don't drink wine near it. I did and knocked a glassful over the keyboard :o

I've been trying to figure out matched betting since I first joined this site! Totally don't get it... but it seems like such a good way of making money! I just KNOW I'd end up clicking the wrong this and losing loads of money though...
