******SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU DIDN'T WATCH DR WHO******
Things I didn't like:- several glaring continuity issues, especially the side to face on shots of Amy & Churchill looking at the TARDIS - totally different expressions going on
- the Daleks - are they getting them from IKEA these days?
- Churchill - one of our greatest leaders as a lovable old duffer? I think not!
- the tone of the episode - felt it was really dumbing down
Ok, sorry, rant over
2. The different coloured Daleks were ridiculous, so I totally agree with you there
3. I can kind of see him as lovable to be honest, following on from the famous quote when someone accused him of being drunk and he replied along the lines of "Madam, I may be drunk, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly".
4. I didn't like it as much as the other two, but I still have very high hopes! If I feel an episode is being too stupid, I try and remember the show is aimed at 7 year olds as well as geeks nearing 30
I think that Amy is going to be great! I think she's coming across as clever and thoughtful in a totally different way to The Doctor. The thing with the Starwhale was genius, and I loved what she did in last nights episode. I am very pleased they have a Scottish assistant with a normal Scottish accent as well, instead of the shortbread tin accents you often see on the telly.
I still reserve judgement at the moment, I vowed never to watch it again when they made Catherine Tate the assistant, and she was ace.

******SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU DIDN'T WATCH DR WHO******
I have to say I'm still not convinced by the new Doc. I find his acting a bit flat and lacking in believable emotion. I am still enjoying it but not as much as the DT doctor.- Last night episode seemed really 2 dimensional and kind of dummed down. The whole series so far feels like a children's programme rather than aimed at all age groups.
- Not a fan of the new daleks - They look really plasticy and the cynic in me thought they have only done it to increase toy/model sales as people will want to have the whole set.
- Why can you now always see the wood grain on the tardis? I thought it was painted - it is annoying me in the doorway shots. :rotfl:
- What the **** have they done to the theme music?...... noooooooooo!
- I like Amy far more than I like the new doc!

See, I've only just noticed that & I have to agree - not a fan at all!
Agree with you about the Dalek toys too

Absolutely, and is she from Inverness? Someone said that to me, although she doesn't have an Invernesian accent!0 -

You can tell she's from the North, but she must have had the full-on Invernesian accent battered out of her somewhere :rotfl:
Off out now - going to the pictures with a freezerbag full of cheap popcorn in my handbag :A Just had an excellent dinner of whoopsied lemon sole (75p for 2 fillets), tatties and whoopsied brocolli (56p for LOADS) so I'm off to finish the night with free movies. I love my cinema pass!
