Just popped by to see what your thoughts were about Doctor Who now its getting into its stride.

No spoilers from me, I'm still not sure. I think part of it is because because you have to like the character and I don't yet.

Also, its the first time there have been completely new characters; CE arrived as the Doctor and we got to know Rose etc. then when DT arrived, Rose and family were still around. Same with Martha and Donna. Maybe they thought it was getting a bit adult.

    Morning all!

Friday for me today as I'm off until Tuesday :j

I get paid on Friday and have £226 in overtime (after tax) to play with which is going to take us to Newcastle on Saturday and pay for dinner out on Monday for Mr Fresian's birthday:D

I didn't get any walking done yesterday as I was really tired and just couldn't face it. I'll see how today goes instead. I managed to resist the lure of the Ben and Jerrys at the movies last night though, so am pleased with myself for that one:A We went to see Kick @ss last night and I loved it! It might not be everyone's cup of tea (due to swearing and an ultra-violent 11 year old heroine) but I thought it was really well done and an original take on the superhero thing. 4.5 stars out of five from me :D

Better go to work I suppose.....

I've heard good things about Kick A*s - think I may have to see it especially as it has McLovin in it!! That kid is so funny in pretty much everything I've seen him in - love Role Models!

On the basis that cleaning counts towards my exercise tally, I'm off to rejig the kitchen cupboards to fit in more bargains!

    Since last I posted:

    • Dishes done
    • Two cupboards emptied
    • Two cupboards cleaned
    • Washing machine loaded ready for the morning
    • Aforementioned cupboards reorganised, leaving me a whole shelf free
    • Homemade soup taken out of the freezer for lunch tomorrow
    • Mince taken out of the freezer as I'm planning on making shepherds pie tomorrow
    • Two loads of clean washing folded and put away
    • Two airers full of clothes finally folded and put away (They've been sitting for ages!)
    • Come to the realisation that when you can't close the sock drawer you have too many socks.....
I have also inventoried the cupboards and will be typing this up soon so that I have a refer to guide to try and start meal planning again. I'm not good at doing this and need to sort myself out!

Quick question....are any of my friends on here from the Manchester area? I'm possibly going to Manchester for work soon and would love to have someone to hang out with instead of sitting in a hotel being bored...! I know that mumof4 is from that neck of the woods and have already spoken to her on FB.

    How's everyone else doing?

Ooooh I'm an hour from Manchester at 4am. Several light years away during daylight hours though.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Sadly I will be working 9-5 while I'm down there, so not sure a 5am meet would work!! If you could make a meet-up it would be lovely though!!

Saw the pictures of your new puppy, and she's gorgeous! Hairball #1 is also lovely too.

I thought that this site was meant to save you money...

One quick foray onto the Grabbit board and I am now up two pairs of shoes and down £17. Still, they are M&S, one of them I have been eyeing up for ages and they were reduced to £9 each in the sale. I then added a 10% off code from the Discount Codes board and delivery to store to save £3.50, so I did what I could to reduce the spends!

I may well wander up to my local M&S later to see what the in-store sale is like. Bad Fresian I am :D

    Morning missus,

A wee foray to M&S never goes wrong. If you will need shoes (& you will) then better buy them when they are cheap......
Have a good days off - & I have lots of cupboards in the kithcen that sound like they could do with you're delicate touch......

You might even inspire me to attempt them myself

My current work shoes are falling apart, and I would love a pair of shiny new ones! M&S are the only high street place I have found that offer a size 7.5 as well - I'm too large of foot for a 7 but a size 8 just falls off me!

I would also like to find some smart work tops, as I'm lacking in them at the moment, so I think I'm going to take a wander up soon before lunchtime. I can also kill two birds with one stone and buy tatties for tonights shepherds pie!
