    Hi Frugaldom:D:D:hello:
Didn't have a NSD after all but got some bargains in the local BOOTHS supermarket, which is usually uber expensive;)
Had Boo today, and she is poorly with a bad cough and chest and also has a raw bum:(:(My Mum put egg white on it to help, and DD was v unimpressed, but it was soo sore.Have just read cornflour is also good. Not asking for medical advice here, but has anyone else used cornflour, n did it work?:o

    FRUGALDOM!

Hi frugals and guys, just letting you all know that I've updated my details with MSE and from now on, all my posts and challenges will show up as 'frugaldom' rather than nyk. There was a reason for this change but there's no reason for any changes to be made to the challenges. It's just so I can keep work out of the picture. :D

see now i'm gonna be confuzzled!!!!!!

    Hi all

been catching up with recent posts - fishcake_random - eeeew!!! She should be reported to the store's Health & Safety - thats disgusting

Had to spend yesterday, bought 2 day rover tickets as I knew would be out today/tomorrow, but saved loads as tickets £3.30 each - just on today's saved £8.60 on fares. Had to go out on message, so got all running round done on one day - got phone cable £1.99, groceries etc. Spent £19.95 but savings of £4.58 so pleased with that. Don't need much else but a loaf this week. Going to see friend tomorrow, but she is providing lunch, and already have ticket, so will be a NSD.

Was really pleased last night, as added up all savings made with whoopsies, sale goods etc. since Jan - total was £100.84 :D Had to double check figures as I thought me adding up was wrong. Hope everyone else is doing as well.
I must have taken all hints & tips to heart, coz going round shops today looking at things, realising I didn't actually NEED much was great.

Cleaned out hall cupboard yesterday - took stock of contents - errrrm 62 toilet rolls just for me (Won't need to buy any more for a while then) :o

Like the new name Frugaldom

Hugs all round, coz can't remember who needs 'em !

    Have a nice evening all

    Hi Fru and friends

I am a very very bad challenger. I am awaiting delivery of fish and chips which I intend to slather with salt and vinegar. That doesn't sound very repentant, does it? :p

On the plus side, I've spent nothng else today. I got a free energy saving home audit. It's a government sponsored scheme and they will send me a report on recommended improvements, grants available, estimated cost, and how long it would take for the savings to cover the cost.

No lectures so no busfares needed today. Free fire keeping me warm while I work. :)

Hope you're all ok. Fishcake, am so shocked to read of your ordeal on the other thread, hope you're minding yourself. SF good luck with your interview and hope you're all right and the placement goes well. XS, hope your back is ok - you poor thing.

Realised a lot of you are preggers - is this some money-saving thing I haven't heard about? Are you breeding teams of workers/gardeners/soup-makers? :D

Off to do a tiny bit of work before dinner arrives *drool*
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

My worst vice as its only downt road and is open all night. bank tomorrow woohoo.going to moan about 1. giving up going out 2. giving up my phone line 3. giving up smoking (not so much a moan) 4. Giving up my car... but more money for food and walking more. savings tomorrow 900 + but put on 2 stone from eating more. happy happy day tomorrow.

It's lovely watching it mount up isn't it :D

That's one reason I keep a record of my Whoopsie spends in my signature - always gives me a great feeling to see them totalled in front of my eyes :)

    I only keep track of Whoopsie savings, but in 2009 this totalled £1143.44 - which is an average of £95.29pcm / £21.95pw / £3.13 a day !!!

So far this year my saving is £159.66, which averages out to a staggering £3.99 a day
