    Been there, had that.:D

Absolutely fabulous morning here, with wall to wall sunshine, though a bit on the parky side. If I could persuade the youngsters to get up, we could all have a walk, but I'm not holding my breath.

ETA: Found a picture of what things look like, not a million miles away from where I am now, but the sky's blue:

Nice. That's the sort of thing I miss about living in England.

There are things over here that make up for it in spades, spending some of Christmas day on the beach with the Heads as a backdrop was pretty amazing. The UK is one of the prettiest countries in the world though.

Everywhere has its up & down sides. That's a pretty view, but getting up & down the hill last week was a bit hairy!

    What happened to global warming????
You sound like the Sun or the Star or whoever it was whose front cover a couple weeks ago said (accompinied by children having a play fight in the snow): Global Warming? What a load of [STRIKE]SNOW[/STRIKE] BALLS!

Could scare you with the truth which is something like a slight rise in global temperature will shift the gulf stream which keeps Britains climate moderate- therefore would actually cause much harsher winters, hotter summers, and a general increase in precipitation... but fortunately I never did pay much attention at college :D

Thread summary anyone? I read the first page, which spoke of booze and boobs...? :rotfl:

    Happy New Year everyone

Yeah OK, ended up talking about money/ house prices/ mortgages actually :rotfl:

The mother text me some emotional blackmail, so I just replied I hoped they have a good night etc. She didn't apologise so I'm not either. I'm very stubborn :A

Your idea of emotional blackmail may be her idea of desperation.

Do mothers ever apologise? The closest mine every gets is pleading amnesia.
