It was white here when we left to go to my parents...not so white down there. Then that heavy snow just as midnight struck....
Unreal winter here.
We've had snow on the ground for over 2 weeks non stop now. And it's only December!!!!!! Now snowing again tonight.
Tried to go to Inverness today, couldn't get there, took me 4 hours to drive 50 miles, had to get the guy I was supposed to meet to come half way and meet me instead as he has a 4WD and could get through.
Almost got stuck as I took the normal company car instead of my own 4wd car, because of course, it was sunny when I left the house!!!!

What is unusual, is that we rarely get the snow being coastal....usually we get rain when they say snow.
Waffling now, I tend to get like that when I have alcohol in me....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Beautiful night down here in Devon. Almost as bright as day under that Moon. We went out and started a bonfire at about 10pm, as we have half a barn full of hedge pieces to get rid of. We kept that going till midnight, then lit fireworks, but we seemed like the only ones; obviously not a tradition here.
Someone nearby was releasing the paper lanterns powered by tea lights. These drifted away very tastefully compared with the raucous din we'd been making. I'll try to get some of those, though the chance of another NY like this one is slim....
Oh well, I think a lot of people were glad to be rid of 2009, but it was pretty good to us. After 21 years in the same place, a year where we lived in 3 houses is bound to be remembered. Looking forward to not going anywhere much in 2010.

We had our first real snow this morning. It was really, really pretty...but the sun will clear it all away I think, its another heavenly beautiful day: possibly one of the very prettiest New Years ever 0

Absolutely fabulous morning here, with wall to wall sunshine, though a bit on the parky side. If I could persuade the youngsters to get up, we could all have a walk, but I'm not holding my breath.:rolleyes:
