Chips and gravy MUST also have salt and vinegar. Best place for it is the Seafarer, Northwich. Second best is the Pen1stone road turning off the M1 near Huddersfield.
Hmm, not sure I'm so keen now. I like vinegar, not sure about it with gravy....and I'm not that great with salt...never have it on fish and chips or add it too food. Very occasionally I get a salt crving and eat someparmesan or lick a ritz biscuit or something.:o0 -
To be fair, most Belgians keep it secret.0

I've had chips and mayo in Belgium. It was lovely. Stella, chips and mayo and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Is that it for Belgium? Is Tin-Tin from Belgium?0 -

It HAS to be Heinz. It has a taste of its own and is simply lovely. Any other brand simply isn't the same for consistency nor taste. I love to pour/spread a big blob of Heinz salad cream on fresh bread, then make a grated cheddar and crisp sandwich. mmmm.lostinrates wrote: »Tried that stuff once, and never again... tastes like a smokers morning cough:eek:0 -

And I can't keep up with this thread. The post will probably be two pages behind Cleaver's. Will try harder to keep up.
Thankfully it was quieter when I was doing the creme patisserie...although I have noticed that I am wearing out the left mouse button...too much thanks button I guess.0 -
