Yep, we always take a cab too. It's really easy, cheap enough and there's never usually a queue of more than a few people....
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

Taxi, or wait around for a bus to the hotel ($8-10)

Taxi between 10-$14 ($20 with tip ish!)

Or Hotel limo ($40-$50) book through vdara hotel

Tell them not to go through tunnel!

    Good Luck

Thanks for the info. I take it the tunnel will take longer??

Taxi definitely, $15-20 + tip and remember to say "No tunnel thank you". It will take no more than 10-15 mins.

The shuttle bus is $6-7 per person and could wait until it is full before it leaves and go round all the hotels before you are dropped off.

You can book a limo for around $60 for an hour + tip and have a tour of the strip before being dropped off.

We were going to get the bus, but now thinking taxi, but also now thinking limo with a nice quick tour of the strip would be good also, oh dont know what we'll do, lol.

Does the bus give you change?? If we go with the taxi, how much should we tip??

    Thanks again, Jodi x

I would be surprised if the shuttles don't give change, but really, take a taxi...the savings in taking a shuttle is minimal and the hassle is just not worth it.

The tunnel may be quicker but a longer route in terms of distance (interstate vs surface streets) so more expensive - that is why people say 'no tunnel'...personally, when we do take a taxi we specify the quickest or the least expensive route and leave it at that. We normally tip 15% or just over - we normally round up to the nearest dollar after figuring out what the total would be.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

How often do the restaurant.com codes come up & can anyone advise me where I could find them? Is it still possible to buy a general cert using the 80% off code then use it to buy the most popular certs at the start of the month? (such as stripburger etc). Been to Vegas twice before but have never had restaurant.com vouchers.

    TIA

Think we will just get a taxi to the hotel, thanks again for the tips!

Some great prices coming out of American at the moment if you want to go in February. Just put on hold some for 7 nights @£430 each. Waiting for the boss to get home to see if she wants to go.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

The r.com codes start at 50% off near the beginning of the month (they sometimes aren't available right at the beginning) up to 80 or sometimes 90% off towards the end of the month.

Yes you can use a code to get money off a generic certificate, but the generic certs don't work with all the restaurants as it takes you to a different site to buy the certs.
