    WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?

I am in the final preparation stage for our first trip to Vegas next week. I have spent months studying this informative forum and my partner is wondering what I will do with my time when I get back and I have no more planning to do!

On the weekend I purchased my dollars from Debenhams. I double checked on the way out and found I had been given $60 too much.We were running late for an appointmnet so had to go there but when finished I had to go back to hand in my ill gotten gains!

The chap was surprised, thrilled and very relieved I had returned - I was almost hoping he wouldl say lets split the difference!!

My partner and I have been pondering - who would have gone back and who would have put the extra $60 on black?

personally i would have done the same . i know lots of people would say" keep it , who is going to know ".

but the guy who gave you the extra $60 might have got in trouble for his mistake . i would feel better giving it back for just $60 . thats just me

    hello hope someone can help

Thinking of doing first trip to vegas early next year - however realy fancy the idea of flying to LA - stopping one night there and then driving the following day (its something we have always wanted to do for some reason).

Looks like I can get Miles + tickets with virgin to LA for about £950 return (for the 2 of us) a car (with cross state insurance) for about £120 and accommodation for $300 (the Monte Carlo for 4 nights)

Looking to leave on Sat 19th Feb 2010 (and will need one nights accom in LA) and return on Thursday 24th Feb 2010 (night flight home)

    any advice woudl be appreciated..

Great idea IMO . £950 for 2 = £475 each . good price in todays climate IMO . personally i would book it . worry about where you are staying later , thats the easy bit .Monte carlo for $300 is pretty good , no reason to not book it now if you cancel without penalty later .

although i would try to stretch LA to a full day and 2 nights . Yes LA has it problems , but it's a place you have visit once in your life for sure .

Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow to LAX on the Airbus planes ( someone fill in the numbers ) is the BEST flight we have ever took .

i assume you fly back from LA , so car hire not a problem . if you want to fly back from Vegas then Carhire 3000 did not charge us a drop off fee when we did this .

places to stay . we stayed here . okay , but not the luxury of Vegas .

it's part of the Magic Castle , and about 5 mins walk from the Chinese Theatre . had a great view of the hills and Capitol records building from our balcony . be aware some of the rooms are still lived in by residents , but it is a locked compound with security guard 24/7 so need to worry about safety .

    eat breakfast here. ;)

If you had got home and realised you had been given $60 too less, would Debenhams have given you the extra?

Being totally honest, Ida probably kept the money, as Im sure all of us has been on the wrong end of a faulty cash machine, or getting forged notes (I have), and it sorta makes up for it.

Got back from Delta Heathrow/Detroit return a couple of weeks ago. Decent VOD entertainment system, felt odd being given chicken and mash for "breakfast" on the way out. Seats were comfortable enough. Went out cattle and back business, but their business isnt a patch on Virgin Upper class.

Travelzoo has discounted tickets for Rod Stewart at Colosseum

    http://www.travelzoo.com/entertainment/las-vegas/906622/

Hubby was very happy about this & as it's his 50th while we're there, we've booked our tickets. Thanks so much for the link!

Got 2nd mezzanine, row F, seats 413-414. Looks to be right in the middle, so should be a good view. Anyone sat in this area before and can let me know if this is good?
