    Hi guys,

I've just put up a thread about connecting flights to Vegas:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2563143

If anyone can help it'd be fab :-)

    Thanks in advance!

someone has answered your question .

1h 30 mins might be tight , but you will probably make it in plenty of time . United will probably have flights leaving for LV after the one you are booked on , and will just sling you on one of them if you miss yours .

you wouldn't be the first to miss a connection due a long queue at immigration , and they aren't Ryan air who would most likely just shrug their shoulders .

we missed a connection in Philly , due the outbound flight from Manchester leaving 2 hours late . US airways booked us on a later flight to our destination ( Boston) from Manchester , and everything went smoothly when we landed in Philly .

no need to collect your cases to move flights on the way back , they will do it for you .

coming back once our first leg with United was late and we had about 20 mins to catch flight home to UK from Washington . they were already boarding when we got to the gate . i still had time to buy and eat a foot long Subway , and our cases made it home with us as well

    have a great time :D

I am waiting for these again in May. The only thing I found that I didn't like at the platinum was the pool. Quite small and there is no one there. I like to see the wildlife. Oh, and it is a sweat box
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Didnt it have the purple leather upholstery? That refit cant be more than a couple of years old.
It's been about 4 years since we flew with VS but AFAIK the Gatwick fleet hasn't had the Premium upgrades done

Bit of an odd question really as different people like different things...

I'd not say there is not one thing-It's like saying-"If you go to Florida which ride is an absolute must" If you ask fifty people you'll get fifty answers.

However knowing nothing about you so lots of ifs

It would be a shame to go all that way and NOT see the GC -I'm not a big on views person but found it breathtaking-BUT it's a long way so either takes a whole day out of your schedule or is expensive if you do a good helicoptor tour.

resturants -personally I don't see any as absolute musts to the exclusion of everything else although there are some nice ones like MAG on the patio

Hoover Dam-unless you find engineering absolutely facinating -it's not a must

Room with a view of the Strip-Nice to have-not a must if it will impact your budget in other areas

Shows for me the must see show is Donny and Marie-the show I'd like to see next s Human Nature. I have heard good things about Love but the whole Cirque thing isn't my thing so for me that's not on even the must see shows list.

    Hi Guys,

Off to Vegas in October and it's slightly daunting to see so much info to read through!

If you could choose one and only one tourist attraction to do while in Vegas what would it be??

e.g Canyon, Hoover Dam, "Love" Show or maybe eat at a certain restaurant, etc etc

Look forward to seeing the replies............

Grand Canyon + Hoover Dam require you to plan a trip . most other things can be done if you feel like it when in the area . Yes a Grand Canyon helicopter trip is expensive , but it is worth it IMO .

it's impossible to do everything in one trip , and also impossible to pin down the must see thing . Personally i would try to see the Bellagio fountains at night , for a great Vegas moment , and take the rest as you find it .

As a couple of others have said, you'll end up with so many replies, and when you get there and realise how massive everything is and how much there is to do, most planning will go straight out the window :rotfl:

Thought I'd share a few things about what we did on our first Vegas trip which was 5 nights and that was far too short! (for us at least). We spent a lot of time going through the majority of the casinos on the strip and what was in them, the lions in mgm, the bellagio fountains, the eiffel tower at Paris, the volcano & secret garden at the mirage, the shark reef at mandalay bay, the car show at Imperial Palace, Madame Tussauds at the Venetian etc etc etc. We spent a morning doing the GC by helicopter. It's expensive but worth every penny and we were back at hotel by lunch, saving us precious time. We went to one of the outlet malls for some shopping, and went downtown to see the Fremont Street light show. Caught a show too, which at the time it was We Will Rock You. The time went by in such a flash!

Book a show and go see the GC. Everything else will just slot in as you go...... (oh, and don't miss the Bellagio fountains......)
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

Forgot to add......shows.......Jersey Boys (interesting story I wasnt aware of), Phantom (amazing production) and KA (fantastic set and acrobatics) my fave three shows. And dont plan shows for the first couple of nights as youre likely to fall asleep like I did in Phantom.
