We've never made it to the EI BBQ as the wait has always been 2-3 hours and the casino isn't big enough and doesn't have enough machines to kill that sort of time.

What were the wait times Daz and Pebbles and at what time of day?

we turned up about 6.45pm and waited about 45 minutes which we killed by playing $4 roulette

Just shows you how "valuable" the name Caesars Place is! To a lesser extent, add Bellagio to the list.

But if you think youre getting the bling, and you end up with stained carpet, frayed linen, and bathroom fittings hanging off the wall, you aint gonna go back AND youre gonna tell your friends not to go there.

How Caesars can get away with charging the same for a Shabby Room as Venetian or Aria does for their entry rooms is beyond me.
But they are not, there is a $50 Spa credit attached.
And yes the power of the name Caesars Palace is always going to be worth more than Venetian/Aria.
Anyway, we have stayed there 4 times and never once failed to get upgraded to an Augustus tower room by using a $50 tip.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    And Venetian includes Daily breakfast...........

I can assure you next time you dont get upgraded, and you turn down the opportunity of paying a $100 a night upgrade, you wont want to risk it again.

We've waited 45 mins to an hour at various times at EI. It is usually a shorter wait than they tell you though. We always manage to kill the waiting time with a bit of penny video poker and a few slots. They have random spot prizes for having your card in a machine. I won a T-shirt last trip.

Thanks for the replies. We might try to get into the BBQ again next trip as we will be staying at the Carriage House which is quite close.

I wonder if they will let you split a meal. I wouldn't be able to eat half of that plate of food and it just seems such a waste, but I don't really like to ask seeing as it is so cheap to start with.

I wouldn't stay at Caesars again in anything less than a Palace Tower. There are so many better options for the same money.

They will let you split a meal, just ask for another plate. They don't charge anything for it either, unlike some places.
