  • Fair enough... I run an internet business so I am used to spending $15-20 a day on internet in most hotels, so the resort fee for me is not really an extra, just a different name for internet access :)

For the majority of guests it is a fee enforced on them for no added benefits, you only have to read some of the threads on the american vegas forums

On the subject of resort fee's, if you use the internet everyday like me it seems reasonable... $15 for internet, gym and a newspaper... Usually internet by itself can be $15-20 per 24 hours so really its swings and roundabouts for people that need internet access?

As others have said, it's the fact you can't avoid it. I agree it's probably well worth it for you, but I don't really use the internet or gym whilst on holiday, yet I still have to pay.

I'll say it again, it's just another way of advertising rooms cheaper than they are actually going to cost.

Hi.......Anyone else here having trouble gaining access to their MGM or Mirage reservation page ? Have tried many times today without success.

Just spoke to MGM and the Mirage, and my details were only available online on my reservation page for a few weeks....which is weird.

I have stayed at umpteen hotels in Vegas and have never paid more than $15/day for internet access. Which hotel charges $20?

Just checked in for our Vegas flight in the morning (Virgin) woop woop!

Shame my girlfriend and my seats are 8 rows apart and the online check in shows all other seats as full :(

did you select seats before today? You can normally do so and it helps to ensure that you get seated together - maybe go into your flight on Virgin's website for the return and see if you can select seats together now? Regardless, have a nice trip!

I agree that if you use the in-room internet daily or close to a resort fee wouldn't be a worry...but I can understand for those who don't, it sucks to have to pay for something they won't use. I'm glad we like Harrah's properties so so far can avoid resort fees. Especially as I've read elsewhere that MGM properties still make you pay the resort fee if your room is comped.

Anyone able to offer any comments/reviews on the Blue Man Group at Venetian? Found tickets for a reasonable price for the late showings so considering this an option, providing it's not complete rubbish?
