Just one more thing to ask that I've forgotten. For anyone who has seen both La Reve and O, how would you say they compare with each other and which one is your favourite?

They are quite different though obviously both having water as a big part of the show.

O is more Cirque-y. Le Reve is more dancey. You will recognize songs in Le Reve, I don't think you will in O...Le Reve has some more contemporary type music in it.

Overall we preferred O, but enjoyed Le Reve. I wasn't a massive fan of the laughing clown in O - he got on my nerves something terrible but the stage itself was really cool - how it goes from solid to water almost instantly. We just enjoyed it more...but it's a very relative thing - I know plenty of people would have the opposite opinion.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I have a 3 dongle and a Vodafone one, neither of which is unlocked so I'm not sure a SIM card would work. Off to have a look on eBay.

    Here you go:

I quite fancy getting one of these (£12 Quidco cashback):

Get it unlocked for £13.50, you can then use multiple devices through Wifi, as it works like a 'portable' router, with 3G connection built in.

EDIT: My idea's no good, the Mifi is only single band - you can check the full list here (dongle needs to be tri-band for USA):

Travelzoo offer - Luxury Suites at Signature March 28th-June 30th - $79-$109 inc weekends

    Book by April 2nd

    http://hotels.travelzoo.com/las-vegas-hotels/777256

Note: A two-night minimum stay is required, and a $20 daily resort fee applies.
Look a good deal till I saw the $179 resort fee for our 8 night stay, no thanks, and how does $20 a night come to $179, oh yeah, they add tax onto it!!! Rip off Vegas strikes again, and as long as people keep staying in places that add the resort fee it will get worse.
Just to add that the M Resort used to charge $25 a night fee, but they got such a bad vib from people saying that they wouldn't come back because of it that they dropped it and just added the $25 to the nightly rate and their bookings went up.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    $160 + TAX ??

I agree, these resort fees are getting ridiculous. You see the headline price and it looks OK. Then when you see the total price it's just miles away from what you're expecting. If it's a non-avoidable charge, it should have to be included in the advertised price. It's like saying $29 per night, then sticking on $70 a night resort fee. It's not $29, it's $99, and that's what should be advertised. Remind you of Ryanair, in a way ?

EDIT: Just had a look for a week in May out of interest. The inital price says $87.57 average per night, guess what it came to after resort fee & tax ? $843, or $120 a night ! (not a bad price actually)

Is that $160 plus 12% tax ?, that would make it $179.20

I'm just having a brainstorm here.

I pay for daily internet access while in Vegas and I think ferf does too and possible pebblesmax. I have recently started using mobile broadband in the UK and intend using it between flights in the UK and while waiting to board.

I am now wondering if this is a viable option to use in Vegas and would be grateful for any input.

I have tried to look online and all I have found so far is that you can buy a Verizon dongle for $130 which is a lot more expensive that the UK or a Virgin one for $100.

Does anyone think this is feasible? Any suggestions of places to buy one near the strip as we won't have a car?

Just thinking out loud at the moment.

I'm too cheap to pay for daily access. I tend to use the free places as much as I can and just supplement it with a days access here and there. I have a T-mobile USA sim card. I had to put $100 on it to make sure it would last 12 months, but so far, so good. I do a lot of texting when I'm there, so my plan is for the best value texts. I'll look into a dongle when I get there in May. The T-mobile shop I used was on Flamingo near to Maryland Parkway, and they were very helpful.

    Re: The $20 trick.

I tried this at the Pallazo last December. The girl behind the front desk was a little embarrassed and told me that it is frowned upon there by the management and that anyone taking the tip would be fired.

That said, she upgraded us anyway and handed back the money. But she did seem genuinely worried about the whole thing.

i used it in palazzo and it worked like a treat, 20$ got my two standard rooms upgraded one from standard too a twin room the other was the next suite up with strip view, oo and did simmilar at the phantom desk when picking up my show tickets (10$) though not sure what seats we would have had otherwise

BA will be flying to Vegas on Monday and they've moved us to another airline for us from Newcastle to London. Now I can stop stressing about the honeymoon and stress about the wedding :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for their kind wishes. Vegas will be all the better this trip with it being our honeymoon...... xx
