I've just booked our next trip. I love having two trips to look forward to. 5th October to 25th November. At 52 days, this will be our longest trip so far.

We'll be flying home on Thanksgiving day, but we got it cheaper for that reason.

Holy moly! That's just incredible. We might see you in that stretch...we've said we will not book a fall trip until we get back from the April trip as last time we both felt a bit meh about it and are worried that it may be losing it's shine since we're now going 2x a year on average instead of just once (or it may be because we lost more last trip than any other - if we're being honest). BUT if we do go in the fall, chances are about 98% it will be during that window and would be great to see you guys again. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Hi all my Vegas buddies...still here, still reading, still resisting like mad all the amazing offers.;)

This years theme in the Triker household is deferred gratification...we have house stuff to do, new windows, carpets, bathroom etc so no Vegas for us **sobs**:D

But its lovely to hear other people's adventures, so I'll keep on reading and sighing A LOT :rotfl:and see what the year brings.

PS I hate being all grown up and responsible....blahhhhhhh.:p

Youll be pleased to hear your phones are presently on their third holiday in Vegas with a young lady from Aberdeen from here - I forget her name.

I would love to, but last time I priced flight they were well over £700pp with BA. Haven't looked at connecting flights so may just do that.

We really enjoyed being there in September last year.

Ours are about £425 pp with US Airways. MAN-PHL-LAS

I'm back! Been meaning to post with a wee trip report but came back with a cold/cough so haven't got round to doing much.

We didn't use the phones in the end as we didn't manage to find somewhere to top them up in the first day (I think we were too awestruck) then realised we were unlikely to lose each other.

I have them all ready to be sent to the next person so if anyone wants them please let me know :)

Needless to say I loved Vegas. Would love to go back some day but there are so many other places to visit I'm not sure when I'll get there again.

Likes - Grand Canyon bus tour via grand-adventures.com, The Lion King, !!!!!!'s Last Resort (we went on a hen night), Thunder from Down Under, Mon Ami Gabi (wedding meal so didn't even have to pay!), MGM Signature and my most favourite thing was the Bellagio Fountains (great view and music from Fontana Bar).

Dislikes - smoke!, Luxor inclinators, losing at pretty much everything I gambled on, Sirens of TI, tipping other than in restaurants (I did read up but forgot who/how much I was supposed to tip) and that's about it.

Didn't think Shark Reef was worth the money. Madame Tussauds was worth the 241. KA had some spectacular bits but I didn't really follow it. Stratosphere views were amazing (again, 241 tickets). My Snickers cheesecake didn't live up to expectations but the others I tasted were better.

  • Just stayed in MGM Grand Celebrity Spa Suite for a week - WOW was great

Looking to re-book the exact same flight which was

Newcastle > Heathrow > Las Vegas
Las Vegas > Heathrow > Newcastle

All with British Airways Economy - I paid £895 for the above route for 2 people.
Checked their prices today and the same route is £1355!!
£460 price rise - what the hell

I can't remember but I may have booked when BA had their sale but don't think it would affect the price that much

Not going with BA or will have to wait to see if they have another sale
    Dates I priced up was 18th - 28th Sep 2010

That last post reminded me - I got an email from BA the other day giving me a 15% discount code for any BA flight booked before 31 March for travel any time this year. As we've already booked the flights for this year's holiday we won't be needing it and neither do any of our friends or family, so I'd be happy to pass on to someone else on here if it would be of any use

It's not clear whether the discount code is somehow linked to my Exec Club number so can only be used by me, but I reckon it's worth someone trying it out as the savings on a transatlantic flight could be pretty good. Please send me a PM if interested - it's a "unique code" so I assume it can only be used once.

Edit: Code has now been sent to someone, sorry!
