Hi P&F and welcome! I'd suggest listing your items in the evenings, about 7-9pm as most people will them be at home and able to watch the item as the auction ends. I try not to do too much in one go as I work full time so I may do photos, weighing and measuring one night, then another night I'll type my listings out in Word to spellcheck them, I do a few descriptions like this every couple of days then when I have about 10 in a word document I list them. Why not start with a few items at 99p that you're not too bothered about getting high prices for, list them and see how they go?
I'm sure there is a selling basics tutorial on ebay - maybe have a look through that too?0 -
Hi there
Managed to list a few more tonight and now have my listings up to 98 - not quite in some leagues but they ARE increasing !!
Mostly just 99p items but have hopes for lots of themEbay Challenge 2010 - 100 per month

Noticed that my Personal account had a lot of item finishing tomorrow (well today now) so just checked my account and noticed that it says '100 items you are selling are ending today'.
OMG 100 items, lots of comics and other stuff that I have a few bids on. Have sold a few things tonight but not for a fortune, most things went for the starting price. I did sell a knitting pattern that I've relisted and relisted and got a couple of bids on it.
Anyway, off to bed now.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
I know that feeling tmd (but wd on listing them in the first place!), and good work on the sold items...a few less to relist!
I didn't do anything tonight as I was too busy doing other stuff but have planned what I am going to list later and now I just need a good night's sleep (I live in hope)
I think I can sell the same amount next week...Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
I sold a book on Amazon yesterday. Book sold for £0.68 , less the Amazon fee of £2.75 + the p&p charge makes a net of £1.98. I have recycled an envelope so no cost there, the only expense is the postage.
I have listed a few books last night. Incidentally, one of the books I listed is not sold by Amazon. It seems that I am the only person who has this book, I therefore could price it accordingly i.e. more than the RRP. I know the author of this book and can get ready supply. Let’s hope it sells, as I can then get more. Anybody knows how to find “rare” books on Amazon?

Thankyou for your advice.
Breaking up the procedure to put things on ebay sounds good to me, preparing the photos one day, the descriptions another. I will take on board loading the items in an eve, that would work well for me, the other thing is loading dd's clothes into bundles. Her dressing up clothes would work well by doing that I think as well as other day wear outfits. I will get going at the weekend and see how I go. Will keep you posted on progress! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
