:rotfl::rotfl:the organised bit meant that I was doomed to fail... but that kind of money would be great although I wouldn't have any time to do anything else. I ahve no idea how mrscmr manages to fit everything in!

i have made a timetable so i can fit in housework/working/kids/ebay/10k challenge hopefully that'll make me semi organised until i get into the swing of things. have a few sales finishing tonight so tally for this week is about the £100 after i take off outlays. hats off to mrscmr though.
do you check ebay's wanted item list? might be an idea keeping an eye on that.

As far as I'm aware if someone gifts a Paypal payment then they cannot charge it back; it's like paying cash - although maybe someone could correct me on this? There should be no limit (especially if it is £300) Why not ask them to pay direct into your bank account?

Do you mean eBay listing fees? It would be great if you can sell on a baby forum but with ebay you are selling to a large audience. I sold mine on ebay and the buyer collected and paid cash. I also listed on a free listing day so actually paid out very little to sell the item.

Re couriers - I use www.parcel2go.com if you check the website you can input the measurements and weight of your package (use bathroom scales for weighing larger items or pop down to the PO). You need to input your address and the address you are sending to and decide what day and between what times and they come and collect from your house. You print off the label and attach it to your parcel. If you sign up through Quidco or Topcash (and some others) then you could get £4 cashback for your first parcel.

thank you very much!! Would never of thought about looking through quidco!! Will have a look and keep my eyes open for a free listing day on ebay and see about putting it on then - its BNIB so i really hope it sells well :)

Some of my items are in their last hour and I have learnt from experience that I am likely to get questions so am hanging around just in case I do.

skintbint, I use a schedule all the time but it always fails as others decide that they don't want to follow what I should be doing; the children are especially good at this ;) I do write lists of things that need to be done; today is a complete-the-list day of things that should have been done during the week.
Good luck on your schedule and challenges and well done on the eBay sales.

mummy2mygirls, I think we are all hoping for a free listing day soon. I wonder if they will wait until the media promotion is over?

Can't wait until these items have gone from my house as they are taking up a serious amount of space and the money will come in useful too ;)

  • Hi skintbint - re your different address buyer - you could ask them to add the different address as a gift address in paypal. Otherwise you are not covered. If it is a paypal gift address, then you are!
  • Well I have beaten my taget for this month and am waiting for another £45 to come in so well pleased, got good bids on some of my other items too.

Got 19 parcels so far to take to the PO tomoro, gives the staff panic attacks when there are more than half a dozen to do:eek:

they had already paid so have emailed stating paypal policy and they are happy enough for it to be sent there, - £30 too much to risk

thanks to all who replied (have hit your thanks button!)

    Hi mrscmr

That is a good income for the month, hopefully things will pick up at the end of the month when people get paid. Did you manage to find out all the info re shops that you wanted to know? I was reading on the forums that it's not worth having a shop unless you list over 75 items a month, not sure I would have that many just yet, I did order a bit of stock on Friday too just to get me started back again (bought some stuff in the Sales too which I have listed and have sold a few things).

I've been reading the 'Turn £100 into £10,000 thread' and it is rather interesting, have only got to page 33 of 141 so far, plus there is a new thread started as it got too long so will take me a while to catch up, have found some useful information on there so far.

Got to go and wash up now before OH comes in, he is taking us to Denham to the Toby Carvery for lunch (although he prefers the one in Slough so might go there). I do love roast dinners and the soft ice cream afterwards - yum yum and no washing up to do after.

  • Meant to say, I finally finished my 08/09 Tax Return last night at 1.30am, now just got to get the 09/10 one sorted for April, not sure how it works as I stopped being Self Employed and then went back to it, so am assuming I just do the one return as I have the same ID number for doing it online.

Must get Ebaying my second hand stuff this week, I prefer to do 7 days listings on Mon, Tues and Thursday and 5 day listings on Wednesday to finish Monday, I never sell anything on Fri, Sat, Sun or Wednesday.
