  • Hi,
Is it too late to put my name down for this challenge. I have loads of things I could sell on ebay including lots of craft items now I have wound up my business teaching papercrafts but I need an incentive!

Have you thought of using collectplus.co.uk? you can send parcels upto 10kg for £3.99, ive used them a few times without any problems:D

You could have problems with an Paypal claim - the item hasn't been delivered to the buyer's Paypal address. And I don't think my buyers would be happy to have to go and collect ;)

  • I've received a few more payments today for stuff so I've got it all parcelled up and ready to go. I didn't get to post my items I had for today as I ended up rescuing a dog from the car park at work (dog is ok and is currently staying in a kennel overnight, I hope the dog is microchipped and can get back to his owner) and by the time I'd finished with that the post office had shut.

I withdrew my first lot of money from paypal tonight too :)

Managed to get x3 new items on last night and had 1 sale of a DVD on Amazon. So a productive night! Just need to get to post office , have 12 parcels to post but weather is awful here. (As the rest of the UK!) Have emailed them all anyway to let them know delayed.
Annoyed though - all of my ebay/amazon money was to go to pay off debt but I had a flat tyre yesterday and needed to buy a new one! Just what you dont need in January.... Oh well would have gone on the credit card previously I suppose. Also did a couple of Lightspeed surveys (Their payments go straight into Paypal) and as Ive decided to withdraw at £50 - Im nudging that amount again.
    Enjoy your day!

do u thinks so? i thought it would b ok as it confirms collection from the owner. i usually give this as an option for larger items as it can be upto £10 cheaper than royal mail, so i can get more for the item & not wasted on p&p:j:j

For a paypal claim the item must show as delivered to the address given by paypal, not a shop somewhere.

Also, I think it is a very valid point about buyer having to collect, I buy things because I want them delivered to me, not to a shop. I suppose if you out it in huge font on your auction that you are not offering a door to door service then at least the buyers would be forewarned, but I certainly wouldn't use it without letting buyers know exactly what they are going to have to do to get their parcel.

I'm a bit unsteady on my feet anyway, and having to walk to the place to get my parcel and carry it back would probably just be enough to make me refuse it and have it sent back to seller for a full refund. At least if I miss the RM delivery I cna park outside their depot for the parcel or else ask them to redeliver it to me on a day I now I will be home.

    Afternoon everyone

How are we all getting on?

Just listing some more business stuff, want to try and get it all done today so I can do my Personal stuff this weekend, want to try and get it all listed soon (can't wait for Ebay to have another free listing day, I'm sure they had one by now last year).

mrscmr - how are you doing? Did you decide whether to change your account yet?

Kids went back to school today, mind you it is icy everywhere, we had to take them in the front entrance to the Lower school hall and leave them there, shame they weren't shut today seeing as it's Friday.

I have done my Euromillions for tonight.

I sold two Amazon items - both VHS. I didn't sell them for much so profit was rubbish but at least they are out of my way and every little helps

Hi tmd, have been out this morning to do a MS but didn't spend enough so now I don't know if they will pay out

Had a few minutes of snow but roads are clear; the problem is with the paths, they are so icy so had to get a bus back home.

Just putting together some items to prepare listings for Sunday. Have done some more media but will add more toys and some vintage stuff as well. I might even have a go at listing bigger electrical items because if they sell, there will be some space!

Looks like there is more snow on the way for East Anglia and the South so hope you all have food and heating. OH went to the Co-op yesterday and found that although we are not snowed in and are not forecast to be, many of the shelves were empty.

Sales still at £163. Did have a very small Amazon sale and have withdrawn £12 from GreenMet.

    Catch up later.

Have you managed to sell any on eBay Jesa? I don't know whether to list them on eBay for free listing or put them on Amazon and eBay or just throw them :rotfl:
