Happy New Year everyone. I have been reflecting over the last 10 years with OH and am so impressed with how much has happened - even if it wasn't all exciting or good :o:o

Wishing you all a successful year in the eBay world. ;)

P.S. Welcome newbies; I shall add you to the 'list' tomorrow.

Please add me to the list, I have been trying to list items on ebay to help with our Florida fund, so we can have one last good family holiday before Son goes to university. I have so much stuff to list I will limit myself to a certain number of items a day.

Hi what a great idea, can i join please. Want to try to raise about £300 if i can towards xmas this yr, i spent last yr on clothes we didn't need - am determined not to do that this yr! Probably won't list until march onwards tho cos thinking won't be so many looking to buy 2nd hand clothing etc just now because of all the sales?.

  • I'll join.

But can I just ask what people use to package their items? I was looking at the bags in the post office and they're 80p!
I'm less likely to sell if I have to bump up the P&P :(

I really want to join you but ebay scares me!!! I sold my first 3 items last month and didn't get a proof of postage for one of them so had to refund £12 of my £24 profit!

I realise this was a fatal error, although don't know how proof of postage would have helped me - can anyone advise?

Also, is there somehwere I can read an idiots guide to ebay that won't take me all day? Or should I just not bother and Freecycle instead?

I'm sorry to be so pathetic but I struggle to motivate myself for what seems like an awful lot of trouble for low returns.

    Please inspire me!

firestronaut do you mean jiffy type bags or the mailing sacks? I buy my jiffy bags in poundland, think the small ones come in a pack of 5 and the bigger ones a pack of 3. I buy mailing sacks in packs off ebay sellers.

I used to use the parcel service which costs approx £2.40 (up to 1kg, i think)
It give you a reciept with the postcode on it, although it DOESNT provide tracking.
