Well done Soolin! I guess that there is nothing to worry about until I get the 'email' then :rotfl:
Will get some more sorted tonight and relist the ones that haven't sold this week.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

I might be wrong of course. However it seemed unlikely that ebay would warn us if we were near their cut off, I rather fear the idea is to make us all feel safe so we over-list and just get the upgrade email without prior warning.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Evening all, have relisted 38 tonight and have prepared 30 ready for tomorrow night. Struggled today to start but having cleared the top of a bed last week, I am motivated to get another area empty.
Still haven't sorted out my gold to send off, partly because I realised that I threw away an 18ct chain that was broken thinking it was a cheap metal one, only to find several weeks later that I have the cheap one still :mad::mad: and it has made me so mad that I can't concentrate....
Hope you are all busy listing!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Hi Everyone!
Not much happening here really, haven't listed much on my Personal account the last week. It was DD1's 6th Birthday last Saturday and today she had her party, boy am I never doing a party in a hall again, it has been a nightmare, 3 people who I never got a reply from turned up, luckily I had taken extra bits for party bags just in case some did turn up. So we had about 24 children including my 3, we had hired a bouncy castle and my dad did a few things with them, then they ate, then played on the bouncy castle again for about 10 mins then their parents came. Was so relieved when it was over.
On the debt busting front, we had some good news yesterday, we have been trying to remortgage and two weeks ago we were told that the second credit check they did (after they valued our house) was declined (although apparently the first one they did before the valuation was OK, our FA told us to send off for our Credit Reports so he could see have them when the Mortgage company came back to him as it had gone back to the Underwriters.
We were meant to hear the end of this week just gone, we want to borrow an extra £41k to pay off our credit cards so were keen to know what was going on, OH has about £10k on his cards which is his mum's that she owes him but that is a long story so won't go into that. I know they say don't consolidate but we are paying about £1,000 a month maybe more between us on credit cards each month and it's only just over £200 more a month on the mortgage than we have been paying and we can pay off a lump sum when OH finally gets his money back from his mum.
We heard yesterday that we got the remortgage and the extra money so am hoping to get the money later this week/beginning of the week after so I can pay off my credit cards, my MBNA one alone is £121 interest a month so would never have been able to pay them off.
At least I can rest a bit this week, and now any Ebay money I make will be going to buy the usual food/clothes for the kids and can also save some now, am so relieved.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
tmd, that sounds like good news. Sometimes it's the best thing to do. Hopefully the mortgage rate will stay low for a while longer.
i've done absolutely rubbish on ebay. I think that because I'm finding it a struggle it comes across in the listings that I can't be bothered. I need to give myself a kick up the rse.
A listed a load of clothes in job lots of varying sizes & only sold 1, despite having loads of watchers. I thought that I'd put them on together in the whilesale bit, as there's no postage restraints. That isn't covered though in the 99p free listing, it would have cost me £2.30 to list with a 99p start.
Think I'll have to do a car boot, ebay the monsoon, m&s & other makes that usually go for ok amounts as singles. I just wanted to get rid of lots at once to clear some space.
I need motivation.0 -
Thanks Hermum
I do feel such relief knowing I won't be getting all the added interest each month on cards as my debt was just going up and up. We got it at 4.19% fixed for 3 years.
I have found my second hand clothing not selling very well recently, I've not relisted much and am going to try and sell it on another website I use that has a For Sale Forum. Got DD2's birthday on 20th July and she wants a McDonalds party (at least that is organised and will only invite about 6 or 7 children). I'm just thankful my girls birthdays are in the Spring/Summer and not near Xmas - that would be expensive! It's funny as my girls have birthdays in May (DD3), June (DD1) and July (DD2).
Feeling rather tired so will go to bed now the kids PE kits have finished in the washing machine.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

The problem with using the wholesale section is that it is rarely browsed, anyone looking for say girls clothes will just go through the girls clothes section.
I can't see how you managed to get a listing fee to £2.30 unless you listed it for hundreds and hundreds of pounds with all the upgrades.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It surprised me, I was starting at 99p. It may have been a famous glitch, ah, just thought, there were several pics as I transferred them from the original listings. That's what it will be, on clothing they're free.
I shall do it again later then but add the pics to the listing.
I'm hoping that a car booter or 2nd hand seller will buy them, I'm not remotely interested in clothes, have lots of sizes due to being ill over the past few years & my weight going all over the place.
For me to list clothes is torture, I'd like to say things like, black dress, only worn once because it needed ironing. Ugly skirt, handy to cover your nakedness but won't win a beauty contest. Etc.
I'd like them all to go at one time, I'm never going to be slim again so they're no good to me.0 -
i have finally crawled out from under the rock!
only managed 5 items on sunday, but so far 4 have bids! for all my items from now on will start at 99p - i really dont care i just need to get my spare room back, and if i can make a few quid in the process then even better!
my cc total is just over £2 but im really hoping i will have it cleared by this time next year and just stick with my credit union for any loans!
i will obviously hang on to a card for big purchases but it all all be sorted through my credit union!
payday this Thursday and i will not buy any new clothes! i really have to try harder at this! plus i might be gettin a few kittens over the next few weeks so they will need £ spent on them! oh the joys lol!!
right off to see if i can list another 2 or 3 items, then i must pair the socks!!! such a chore lol!!0 -
Don't forget the 100 free listings a month at 99p. Also that ebay seem to be telling lots of sellers to upgrade to a business account. I'm not sure if most of these are listing at 99p or at different start prices. Soolin will no doubt know. There was a bit on the ebay board from Soolin suggesting that a new thread is started just for sellers who have been told to upgrade, I think or I may have dreamt that.0
