advice needed, I have just recieved an email from a buyer saying.
"The tea caddy would have been beautiful but it arrived broken!!n You really did not pack it adequately to go in the post. I am VERY, VERY disappointed and expect some reimbursement please."
this is what she said, to which I found to be rather rude, I have responded to her say that I would be happy to refund but would have appreciated it she had worded this differently. (I thought It was a reasonable request):o anyhow I did get certificate of posting so I can claim back from the post office!
I am now awaiting a reply from this person to see what she says. any advice please and do you think I have handles this in the right way.
Im being nosey here as I had an almost identical email about an item I sold.
It was a cafetier and it was wrappedi in bubble wrap and in a box and my email said
thank you for the prompt deliver of the item which I am sure would have been lovely but unfortuately it arrived in 1000 pieces owing to net being packed adequately!!!
can you pm me the name just to see if it was the same person?0 -
Ok she has apologised for what she has said and that she will return it to me and I have responded that I will refund her once i have recieved it.
I guess that answers my own question. I'm sure there'll be something else. ohwell will wait and see.0 -
Ive had a really terrible week and not sold anything for 3 days. Im htinking about selling everything at cost just to get rid of it. I am £200 out of pocket for the stock i bought and cannot sell. Im thinking of giving this all up now. Its just not working for me.Nov 2010 :1st win beauty box set of 3 worth £40 and a cushelle koala

Don't give up without one last go. I tend to be quite negative when people mention wholesalers as I had terrible trouble whenever i used them with acres of unsold stock, problems, faults and returns. On one occasion I put it all in boxes, put it away for 3 months and then relisted and sold enough to at least get my costs back. Another time when the items were bulkier I just put everything up as cheap as I dared, basically just to get some money back and again the prices went for more than I had orignally been asking. I admit though to having taken black sack loads of stuff to the charity shop before now just because it made me feel guilty sitting there looking at me.
Try something completely different, just spend the evening browsing things you like on ebay, sort of free associate and see if your brain comes up with a new line that you can get on a sale or return basis or on the high street.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My doctor prescribed me Amitriptylene 10mg tablets when I saw him about getting headaches. I was getting them on the 7 day break from the Pill, they would last for over 24 hours and even the strongest painkillers I could buy over the counter weren't getting rid of them. I have to take one tablet before I go to bed and apparently they relax the muscles in the head so headaches don't start. I haven't had a headache since taking them, doctor told me to stop taking the Pill to see if that made a different too. Saw different doc over a week ago and she has given me more tablets as I ran out and thought they were going to get me to take one every other day but she said to keep taking them every day, she wouldn't prescribe the Pill for me when I asked to go back on it.
tmd, I had to come off the pill; my migraines were so severe but it wasn't until they thought I had had a stroke for them to realise how bad :-(
P.S. On the eBay side, nothing new but after my essay has been submitted I am back to itMortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
I won the Euromillions - £6.10, every bit help I suppose.
Have to go and buy some more Hedrin headlice spray.
OH is working this weekend so just me and the 3 kids, not sure if I'll get much Ebaying done, maybe when she has her nap later I can get a few done ready for tonight.
Haven't had a quote for my Endowment yet. I had a letter yesterday saying to ring them as they needed information, apparently the only info they got from my online application was it was with Prudential so had to give the information again, then at 3.30 when I checked the phone for messages to see if they had rung with a quote there was a message saying to ring, then had to give more information again. She said she would ring me back if the figure I gave her wasn't the one that was needed but she didn't call.
I'm hoping to get a letter today otherwise I'll have to wait until Monday, I'm so impatient and just want to know what they will offer me for it, just want to start sorting my debts out as it now stands at just over £28k and I need the money desperately so I can work out my next strategy of paying the rest off.
Really need some more motivation, maybe I should rest today and get stuff done tonight when OH is home and kids are in bed, normally I'm too tired in the evening and can't be bothered.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

I think hell will freeze over before I ever win the 'big one'. Best get the kids dressed and fed and go to the shop, will buy the paper and sit and have a read of that.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Anyone listed anything so far today? I have listed two games and have 2 CD's to do. DD3 is screaming the place down so have to go as daddy is not in yet. Hopefully will get a few more things done a bit later.
My aim is to list everything I have in the bag next to me by the end of Monday.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160
