I'm feeling more positive about ebay today - I relisted a couple of things that didn't sell at the weekend and have watchers on those so that's cheered me up.
My total sales for february were - £131.71
In march I challenge myself to make £170 as that will take my total money made in 2010 to (just) over £700I've updated my sig too if you're interested in how I'm doing overall.

Hi guys, I need a bit of advice please.
I sold a small items on Ebay for £2.99. I charged £2.00 P&P and intended to send it first class (which I did), which wasn't unreasonable as it weighed a bit needed to go in a jiffy bag. Somehow I accidentally managed to put it up as 'special delivery' (don't ask me how - there's not way I would send something so small and essentially unvaluable via special delivery (I've just checked on the postage calculator website and it would cost at least £4.99 to send!). I didn't even realise I had managed to do that (although, admittedly I should have checked but I was multiple listing on a free listings day), and I just received an e-mail from the buyer saying it was received this morning - thanks - but 'I'd paid for special delivery as per the description'.
Evidently this is my mistake and I'm more than willing to apologise, but there's not way something that unvaluable could be sent special delivery for that kind of money as it would be worth more than the item, and I'm wondering what to put back to the buyer as I've made a mistake, but that's what it would cost to send first class, never mind special delivery, and she would have had to pay a lot more. I'm wondering how I managed this as it's not the next option up or down on the little drop-down index (but I had sold a few other, much more valuable things - if you do it a few times, does it automatically stick on that and then it's up to you to change it back?!) I don't know if she expects a partial/whole refund or not, but I can't afford to give it as that's what it cost to post. Any advice as to what I should reply? 'Sorry, I made a mistake', or something more? I would like to keep my 100% feedback if I can. I could stump up 50p or so if required, but nothing more.
Sorry: I know it's not quite the place for this, but you are my Ebay clan, so I thought I'd ask you!x
P.S. Have just checked receipt: £1.28 postage, not including the cost of the cost of the jiffy. Sounds a reasonable P&P fee to me, apart from saying it was a different type than it was. Please call me 'Pickle'
