The post office are now doing a Certificate of Posting - this is a card onto which you list upto 10 items and they stamp and initial and verify qty. l was given a pad of these at the post office so l can fill them in before l get there. It says to make a compensation claim you will need to produce this certificate. the cert ref is P326 PADJune09

Cool - thank you - that's just the thing I'm after. I'll go and try the nice man at the other post office I use (when I'm feeling better - still poorly - boo) as the girl at my nearest post office didn't know what I was on about.

hiya can i join please? I am decluttering the house...i'm a shopaholic(hopefully going to be able to put an EX before that soon) :( but i'm always listing stuff on ebay and made £120 today on 18 items...all kids clothes bundles :) it will be good to get some motivation to list.

Hi, I've only just jumped on this thread. Everyone puts me to shame. I'm a thinker not a doer, or in laymans terms a lazy cow. I'm hoping that I can get inspiration to do listings. Instead I'm spending hours on my fave threads.

You've inspired me to put some stuff on ebay - I've got 7 lots on so far, and another 6 for certain to try and put on tonight, maybe 7.

I've also been on musicmagpie and will be sending them some cds, won't get a huge amount for them but they haven't been listened to for ages and ages and it's a bit of money and something decluttered :-)

I'm confused. haven't they always had these or are they bringing out something else?

    I mean these ones -

Are they getting rid of them? :( I will be sad if they do, as I like filling them out at home then just getting them stamped at the P.O when I go in. It saves me and the lady at the counter a lot of time!

These are the forms - my PO told me JAN 10 that l need to use these now previous to this the PO always printed out individual proof of postage - l am told that this is now to stop and these forms must be used.

  • Ah I see - I thought you meant they were getting rid of them :) Our post office has always used those certificates (at least for the past 4-5 years that I've been posting parcels regularly).

My main post office is a large branch though - I have found that it's usually the smaller branches near me that do/did the printed receipts.
