Hi little_h
You've got a really busy week, just a thought on the wine - I freeze mine in ice cube trays and then use it in cooking. May have to head over to fly lady and take a look at what a household organiser is.
Have a great week x0 -
hi choogirl,
the Flylady term is a Control Journal - basically you keep all your routines in it as well as all your must have phone numbers so that everything is together and everyone knows where it is. I will keep mine by my calendar which is in my kitchen, even though my desk is in another room.
I found a lovely book in paperchase which is the said household organiser (sounds a bit less scary than control journal!) - has little sections and pockets etc, should be really useful. I need to make a note of when all my car and bike stuff (MOT, tax etc) is due as these always catch me out on the finance front.
Flylady.net is a great site and has totally changed my attitude to housework and cleaning
I could freeze the wine, you are right. would be better than tipping it down the sink for sure! Normally I don't have any left :rotfl: but this wasn't good! (not my choice though, but free wine can't be ignored!)0 -
Hello

Like the idea of a control journal as I've been thinking about setting up some checklist kind of things - just have so much to remember and even technology can only help so far.
Get yourself to that group - you never know who may be there. It will be really good for you to experience other things and people so you can grow. Then you'll be clearer about what you want. Don't make it too easy for your ex (so easy say typing that, sitting here) - but he needs to earn your trust/respect not expect it
So let's be all girlie - what you going to wear when you go to that group? :j

mineallmine, thank you for that, I hadn't given a single thought as to what to wear, but am grateful to you as now I have had time to think on it overnight
so think I will brave a few new bits from Collezione M'Atalan :rotfl: but, I am going to go. Even if I feel rotten when I get home.
in other news, I was on the spa website today and found a stonking Valentines Day offer for any night in Feb for £99 per person per night, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, overnight stay, champagne/chocolates in the room and a 35 minute treatment each :eek::eek:
so I rang them to double check, and have booked it for the date I wanted. The spa looks amazing, with a hydrotherapy pool and foot treatment room and a salt room (!) as well as all the normal pool/steam/sauna. Plus the gardens look beautiful and may be a good location for some nice harp pictures in the future
I may book an extra treatment as well but haven't decided yet.
I feel very happy now, very very positive and very glad I have my own plans with my lovely mum for what could have been an emotionally tricky weekend otherwise! now, with any luck, we will be soothed, stuffed, p**sed and well and truly zonked instead

Hi little_h!
I have found your diary!!! Just read it all and it's an amazing read.
I have been taking notes over the last few pages so I can reply to some of the comments (still got a memory like a sieve!)
I must have a look at hypno's diary because so many people mention it but if there's more than one and they've got thousands of posts I think it will be a gigantic job that I will start and won't rest till it's all read!
You mentioned, a few posts back, that someone had said something about not wanting a new self but rather to find the old one. Well I would love to be the old me but I think that being the old me got me in the position I am today! The old me wouldn't think twice about consoling her woes by spending money or going out at dinnertime for a quiet pint or going out after work for a quiet pint. Now I am trying to be the old me without the bad things and it's difficult. I have too many questions of myself and only I can answer them but without the answers and direction it's difficult!!
I will have to hurry with this reply cos I am at work and will definitely get into trouble if I don't show that I have done at least some work this afternoon!
Its a bit weird actually replying to someone's diary because I don't do it very often and tend to 'chat to myself' on my own diary (your words!!!) so I think I am trying to not 'chunter on' too much!!
I was going to mention that lastminute.com sometimes have great spa deals (unfortunately very few for the North East grrrr) but then read that you have just booked up for next month anyway.
Sounds lush, rather jealous but we have decided to save up for a holiday this year instead of the house malarkey, as well you know! So our belts are being slowly tightened as we speak. Week 2 and it's getting rather difficult already. God help us! (this has got nowt to do with my personal debt which I ramble on about in my diary!)
Well, girl - I hope your positive days are many and you achieve some of the things that you set out to achieve during 2011. Remember things can be changed, for your benefit and don't be hard on yourself. Be easy with yourself (my counsellor's v good advice although I do find it hard to take!). Life's for living and it's your life, nobody elses so try and set out each day and enjoy it!! Keep smiling!

dirtyepic - there are 13 chapters of my diary so far - each with about 4000 posts, so don't start it unless you are laid up with a broken back for about 6 months and need to pass the time :rotfl:

Oh, and I certainly don't want the "old" me - I am more than happy with the newer, sleeker, more improved version :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
