You are sounding really positive about everything

thanks, I feel it at the moment :j
done my shred, it hasn't done much on the weight front this week as i put a pound on, but given how much i have eaten/drunk over the holidays, this is less than it would have been i think!
i can feel the difference to my fitness levels and even the dreaded cellulite on my thighs is starting to look better :T. and the bingo wings are going and my triceps are starting to become more defined - having said that, from my rock climbing days, i do seem to build muscle easily so will hold off increasing the hand weights or i will be looking like Popeye
am going to try Level 2 tomorrow.... have done it before but can't remember what's in it
i took a while to get to sleep again last night so am going to head off to bed in a little bit and have a little lie in in the morning, not too much otherwise i end up sleeping in til 8.30 and then feeling really sluggish all day which isnt great for getting lots of work done.
hoping to get some extra practice in as well but this may be a step too far, i swear by sunday morning i will be zonked :rotfl:0 -
well, today has not been the day i had hoped in some ways, but in others it has been nice so can't complain

couldn't get out of bed at 7 as planned so dragged myself out at 8 in the end. the lack of haircare (ie. no washing/drying/straightening!) meant i was still at my desk with tea and muesli by 8.30
had a really productive day of work and found some interesting stuff this afternoon regarding something big at work. this meant i got distracted from things i should have been doing, but in a good way. However, I will need to catch it all up tomorrow so that will be busy too.
I've just got back from Brownies, it was great. Simple things such as games and making things with playdoh brought a lot of smiles to us all so I really enjoyed myself.
just getting tea now and tbh I could murder a glass of wine. however, i don't want to shred after wine, but i can't shred until my tea has gone down a bit. in the car on the way home, i was all for falling off the wagon and tucking into pizza and wine and letting the shred and practice go out the window, but a glass of the drink substitute has helped and i feel better, so i think i will have my tea and see how i feel.
paid my friend some money I owed her today - 'only' £7 but I have owed it for a while and I am glad to have finally paid up as i have been fretting about the fact that i keep forgetting!
i haven't spent any money all week (apart from a bit of food in the supermarket and a can of diet coke at work yesterday - 50p).
I am going to return the boots I bought tomorrow night and get some nicer ones in Sainsburys. They are cheaper and will be more versatile plus I can use my nectar points towards them
while i was there on Monday I also saw a nice cardigan that will work well with everything else I have (black and grey!), so I think I will buy that with the price difference on the boots
I've joined Lula Hula's clothes challenge for the year, to spend no more than £240 all year. even with the cardigan and the boots, I will still be in credit by a couple of pounds  which is great.
I also had an email from a harp friend today (the one I met in Rotterdam), we have some exciting musical plans so I am off to see her in a couple of weeks time. Suddenly I am getting a social calendar, and some harping company will be fantastic! :T0 -
Hi little_hI've just got back from Brownies, it was great. Simple things such as games and making things with playdoh brought a lot of smiles to us all so I really enjoyed myself.
My DD loves going to Brownies, she went on camp last year and had a fantastic time. You must have so much patience I certainly couldn't do it:T0 -
I'm glad she enjoys it, makes our hard work worth it
i was a youth worker a couple of evenings a week a few years ago, for the stereotypical 'scary hoodies' *rolls eyes*. I really enjoyed that too and learnt more from them than they did from me I think! Brownies are different of course, they need the same amount of attention but in a totally different way and i love them for it.
we were playing a game where one of them had to model something out of playdoh for the rest of their six, some of the imaginations going on were incredible! i have to say, i could never see a postbox in a lump of green playdoh but one particular girl could and all the leaders were in hysterics
I would love to see what happened if I made my workmates do the same game
just done Level 2 of the Shred. Jillian is a demon but my goodness it is good...in a totally evil way of course!
Also rang my granny to wish her a happy new year. She was bright and cheery and it was lovely to talk to her. She isn't in the greatest of health either but bears it totally different to the granny who keeps falling over. Hope both of them have a healthy year and that they avoid the flu.0 -
evening all

given in tonight and had wine with my dinner so am a little starry eyed now after no drinkypops all week.
have done no shred and no practice. left work an hour late
and then popped in to get my new boots on the way home - cheaper than the ones i bought last week, plus they knocked 10% off as there was a mark on them (i asked
) - so will return the others tomorrow. I don't think I will be able to wear the new ones tomorrow as they are suede and it has been really soggy here today but will wait and see.
i am off shopping with my mum tomorrow (well shopping from the sidelines for me!). It will be a bit of an early start but I hope to Shred before I go, and then I can have a lovely lie in on Sunday, then I plan to finish the painting in the back bedroom and clear a few things out from there. I am also desperate to get out on my bike - it has been a long time, and the last time I rode it I didn't care if I lived or died so hopefully I will enjoy it a bit more this time
think i will do Level 2 again tomorrow.
things I have not done this week that I was determined to avoid this year :T see, i do have some resolve and can do it when i put my mind to it!
* looked at wedding forums i was on last year
* looked at rocknrollbride.com
* eaten pizza
I have concocted a plan for some travel later in the year that will be fun, bargainous, and will hopefully help me on the way to a long term goal. watch this space!
enjoy the weekend! x0 -

Hope you're getting on ok.

Fab thread: Long daily walks0 -
had a good busy day yesterday and as predicted, today was a day of waste (in terms of energy levels!)
had a fab time with mum, talked about lots of things, she got some nice stuff she needed, I got the moisturiser i needed in the Body Shop and claimed my £5 Love my body card freebie too so used this for a bronzer that was in the sale. I think it will be a little dark but it can go on ebay if it is.
I really want the Benefit Dandelion one - I am after something to perk up my pasty complexion but not be too pink or too orange! - but it's a little pricey. I have a feeling this is the one I will end up getting, but having seen a Collection 2000 one, and getting on far better with their stuff than the price implies I should, I think I will try this one first as they have a copy of the Clinique flowery one.
I didn't buy clothes apart from a BEAUTIFUL harp dress which was fantastically reduced in the Laura Ashley sale. £110 down to £37. I have excluded this from my clothing challenge as I rarely see things that are suitable so tend to grab them when I see them.
Plus I am trying to build a gig wardrobe up so when someone says their wedding is pink and ivory and could I possibly co-ordinate, then I stand half a chance! So far I have a couple of purple things, red, brown, black/blue, black, and burgundy.
The new dress is more for solo concerts, of which I hope to do a couple this year - it is purple/black shot taffeta, very glam and I feel like a proper grown up musician in it so this is great. I will hopefully wear it when I get my website photos done. If shred continues to go well, I will wear my wedding dress that never got used for its intended purpose! (also purple, hideously reduced Alexander McQueen from the Outnet, gorgeous but no use to man nor beast sitting in my wardrobe!)
I bought a lovely paperwork box from Paperchase and a nice address book - have wanted one for a while as I still have the shared one from when I was married. I have been meaning to start my own for a while, so for £4 this was worth it. I also have a Household Organiser to start my control journal (sounds scary but Flylady devotees will know what this is for) which will hopefully be another step to feeling in...ummm.. control!
i cracked on Friday and texted the ex. spoke to him on Friday night for a while. and he came for dinner etc
last night. I missed him horrendously last week, for the first time in a long time. I think that is part of the reason for the lack of energy today, feeling confused about my feelings and what is next for us. Complicated doesn't quite cover it, but I can chat to my counsellor about it tomorrow.
It was a big change though, as we did a Shred together  and then had a very light dinner and didn't drink much at all (he is a big drinker and has a 6 foot tall active bloke appetite). He knows I struggle with food and drink when I am with him as I have the appetite but not the metabolism  so I felt he was making an effort. How long it will last, who knows. We talked about long term goals we have for ourselves, which was really nice. We were meant to be having a month's break, but have decided to speak to each other once a week and just not text at all. So I will ring him on Friday.
So. It's Sunday night, so i probably won't be asleep much before midnight but am going to potter off to bed in the hope that I will nod off quickly.
I haven't shredded today, but have practised and the horrendously complex piece I am working on at the moment is coming on very well. I have had a GnT and a glass of wine, there is a bit left over so may have that tomorrow night when I get in from counselling but it wasn't great wine so it may go down the sink.
Still haven't done SOA yet but think this will have to wait until next weekend now. This week will be harder to fit in shredding and practising as it's a bit busier with counselling (every fortnight), teaching (private school pupil so they go back later) and I may also have the dog this week so that means earlier starts and evening walks/feeding etc.
I am planning to be super brave on Tuesday night and pop along to the local pub to meet up with my village's motorbike group. This could be middle aged blokes with beards and outdated attitudes to women, or it could be a total giggle. only one way to find out, but I have to say I am nervous about pitching up on my own not knowing anyone. Normally it doesn't bother me, but will have to see how I feel on the night. But, it is part of my mission for a busier social calendar and to use my bike more, so best get to it
have a good week everyone!0 -
