We live in apartments, the flat above us is rented out and we have complained numerous times about there excessive noise. We spoke to the owner of the flat and she has warned them about there behaviour. They are now getting ready for a party and we are dreading it,my wife is up for work at 4.45am tomorrow and we know it's gonna be bad. What would you do?

get the noise team involved, but for tonight...not alot you can do New Years Eve tbh - though it might be an idea to explain that your wife is at work tomorrow, depending how good/bad your relationship with them is.If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0

I'd be tempted to book a night in a travelodge just for tonight and send them the bill. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

We tried talking to them when it first happened,no good.0

Buy some ear plugs. But doubt you cant do much its New Years Eve! If it happens again afterwards make an official complaint, but keep records of all noise with dates and times.0

Ear plugs. Then make a lot of noise in morning wake the blighter's up
I am kidding last bit although I would be tempted

Do what the other person said, take your wife for a nice meal or something (new year) then go to a travel lodge for the night! Or stay at a relatives house. Or just get some ear plugs!0

Do you have a noise pollution unit? You can normally contact them through the council, I think it comes under pollution in environmental health. They usually have a unit you can contact who will come out and make an assessment. Check out your local council's website for further info
**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D
