Best blackberry deal.
Hi all,
I have been given an unlocked blackberry 8800. I am looking for the best deal to allow me to use this. I am a very light voice and txt user (maybe 10 minutes and 10 txts a month) but have been a heavy internet user on my existing phone. (t-mobile web and walk unlimited).
I am after the best deal that will allowm me to use internet and blackberry e-mail (BES) and not too bothered about call charges. I would be more than happy with a PAYG and blackberry add on. I have been told that O2 do this but their site is so horrendious (as the rest of the telecoms providers seem to be) that I am totaly unable to figure out how to order this.
I did try calling but after going round the loop of
"new customer" - sure we can do thay I'll transfer you to PAYG
"PAYG" - oo no, not sure why they told you that - I'll transfer you to monthly pay
"Monthly pay" - why did he say that - I'll transfer you to new customer - tell them they can do it.
Did that loop 3 times then gave up.
So - what is the cheapest way of getting blackberry and internet on a sim only deal?
Thanks in advance.

Like you I hardly use any minutes and texts, but wanted unlimited internet so I have Vodafone's £10 basic tariff (75 mins & 250 texts), then I added the £5 unlimited internet bolt on and the £5 for BIS - grand total of £20 per month. Note that Voda only offer BIS on contracts though, you can't have them on PAYG.0

Yeha - I looked at that deal. In fact they are offering the internet and BIS (though I would prefer BES) for a combined £9 per month. The thing I don't like is paying the £10 for calls and txs I will never use.
I think I might keep on looking for an IMAP email cliant then can get away with just the internet and not need the BB service ... unless anyone else out there has a good deal they know of.0 -
Currently with O2 which is due to end and I want a blackberry as my next phone...any suggestions?0

It'd be helpful to know what kind of Blackberry you'd like, and how many minutes and texts you think you need?Hope that helps,
Mark

BES is for companies. They put their companies IT on their phones. BIS is for individual users.0
