I'm getting very fed up with M&S changing an order to despatching soon (so I can no longer change or cancel it) with only a few things left on it, then 3 or 4 hours later they send me an email informing me most of it's out of stock - bit late by then really! I emailed a complaint the first time it happened and they put credit on my account, but they're still doing it and it's happened at least 3 more times since
Same happened to me last night, so complained. The following was in the reply....
Whenever there is a problem like this, we're always committed to putting it right and preventing it from happening again. As a gesture of my concern I've issued a £500 promotion onto your account, the next time you shop at M&S it will be taken off your total order.
I checked (more in hope than expectation) but it was only £5 they had credited me with.
Clearly they can't be that commited to preventing it happening again. It's happening over and over again.0 -

Really? What, 3 separate emails or combine them in one? I expect they will do it again before all my orders are done with though (still got 9 'not yet despatched'). They did credit me £10 after the first email, I don't like to push my luck or get flagged as a difficult customer.
If they just adjusted the P+P charge to a % of the whole order I'd be happy, but when it was £3.50 for 6 items, and still £3.50 for a top and a single pillowcase? I've got 2 different orders coming that are £9 and £8, with the P+P it puts the items back to almost full price!0 -

Everytime I contact them they ignore my emails or send a standard email as if they haven't bothered to read what I have sent. I have asked for credits back on delivery charges that were added back on when items disappeared and they have said to email once items are received. I emailed, no response for 4 days. Regarding another order I have asked for this to be escalated to management, and again this has been completely ignored
Can't get any joy from them at all.Comping wishlist for 2017

One thing to point out - sorry if everyone already knows - you need to be careful not to reply to emails from them. They don't respond to replies.
You have to use the contact us - or click 'no' on the 'Did this answer your question' link.0 -

I did click the 'no' button, no response and it's been 4 days. Does pressing no actually do anything or is it one of those things that updates their SLA's?Comping wishlist for 2017
