We had a chicken, bacon & prawn risotto last night. With beans in it. Haricot beans. OH's idea. But it was nice.
Tonight we are having a feast with friends.
First course: nibbles, including smoked salmon blini, roasted tamari cashew nuts and vegetable spring rolls.
Main course: duck & pineapple curry, trout steamed with soy, ginger & bok choy, jasmine rice, hot & sour cucumber salad
Pudding: lemon tart & raspberry coulis
After Dr Who: good cheddar, oat cakes, green & black mint chocs.
And copious wine, obviously.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -
Last night we went out to a friend of my flatmates and had nibbles- doritos, nuts, bombay mix, breadsticks & dips and olives followed by veggy fingers, onion bhajis, spinach bhajis, samosas to accompany chicken curry or veggy chili with rice and french bread or hot dogs for the fussy kids of a guest who asked for them and then didnt eat them.
Tonight they very kindly gave us a huge doggy bag of the leftover veg chili cos they said it wouldnt get eaten so flatmate and I will be having that. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
