    Off out for a curry.

Supermarkets open until 6pm so plenty of time for last minute booze shopping.

Tonight, if I can be bothered after work, I am having a mediterranean-style seafood stew thing. I have the seafood already prepped in the freezer, so shouldn't take long to put together. I'm using greenlip mussels in their shells, squid, large prawns, shrimps and some fresh white fish with garlic and finely chopped shallots and tomatoes and white wine and olive oil. With crusty bread. Yum!

I have 2 tubs of whipping cream to use up, so something lemony and creamy for dessert I think.

Edit to add; just dipped some leftover mini shortbread biscuits in a sweet 16% proof (!)dessert wine and smothered them in whipped cream. Sitting in the fridge now..the dessert not me......to meld together to be served tonight with some defrosted fruits of the forest berries and a few flaked almonds!!

    And a bottle of M & S Cava.

    That'll do me nicely!

And if I can't be bothered it'll be a takeaway King Prawn Thai Green Curry with steamed rice. (Oh! and the Cava of course!)
  • Tonight we are having corned beef hash, which I bake in the oven with cheese on top mmmmmm. Tomorrow we are having roast lamb dinner, can't wait! xx

Some nice homemade soup here - made vegetable for the first time and the kids loved it for their lunch. Dinner is more a supper tonight - we're going round to friends and all taking food. DH has made his famous chilli so we're taking that. Other friends are making soup, stovies and curries. Yummy !

Tomorrow we're having steak pie (shop bought :-( ) - A totally scottish thing !
So little money - so much time

Nice and simple finger food type stuff:
HM corned beef pie, cheese and crackers, warm bread rolls and pitta, cold meats, a few stuffing balls, HM chutneys and pickled onions, hoummus, fresh grapes/melon/pineapple, HM key lime pie.
Tomorrow I have no idea but the freezer is stocked with various HM pasta sauces and the like so we'll find something :)
  • We're on the hot snacks tonight...small sausage rolls, prawns in filo, prawn toasts, chicken satay, veg wont tons, some left over gammon etc and lots of cava.
Tomorrow, we're having a roasted turkey breast, roast potatoes, yorkshire pud, gravy, cauliflower cheese, carrots and green beans.
And some sort of pud, maybe eton mess.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

Well we were going to have a repeat of christmas dinner for New Years Day but after deliberation and consultation we decided to have Turkey, Gammon and trimmings tonight in the hope it will line stomachs for the evening ahead! tomorrow will be a combination of leftover meat sarnies, I have some puff pastry to make a cheese and potato 'thing' to use up the cheese in the fridge and I have a big 'party-pack' of tex-mex things in the freezer if necessary which means a lazy-ish day tomorrow just incase tonights festivities leave me a little lack lustre!

Morrocan lamb is my fave lamb dish, nomnom

We're having steak casserole with dumplings tonight as I was supposed to do it yesterday but DP fancied something else so the casserole is already made. Handy as he'll be going to work.

Tomorrow, hmmm well I'd got rump steaks (they are enormous) but maybe not if we having steak casserole today. Oh I do have the other half of the Xmas chicken & some sausage meat left so I could do a repeated Christmas....got gammon & beef left too.
One day I might be more organised...........
