We have just eaten a home-made, potato-topped, haddock pie. This came from a Scottish recipe book I got for Christmas and used some haddock fillets my husband was given at work (long story).:money:
Tomorrow, it is a rather unusual New Year's meal of a big pan of pasta bolognese, home-made blackberry and apple jellies and a lightly fruited cake. There may also be some home-baked bread but that rather depends on my energy levels :undecided0 -
Tonight all the left over bits in the fridge/freezer sort of buffet style and tomorrow roast beef dinner.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0

Out at friends tonight, they are doing a buffet, but not till 9 ish. Have had to have a bit of something first - a couple of salami rolls for OH and some creamy blue cheese and crackers for me (all leftover from Christmas) served with some home pickled beetroot from glut in Sept.
Tomorrow using up some prawns from freezer and a few mussels from a jar to make a kind of paella type thing. Trying to start the year as I mean to go on.Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!
