    Sal,
    Mention it.
I live around the corner from my in-laws (I know its not quite the same) but its ok.

R can do lots of nice runs around here...

I will mention it tonight probably but just so that he knows that there is property available, maybe not for now but in 6-12 months if his parents are still keen on the idea

I can't wait to come up for the weekend...its going to be fab :)

wondering whether I am actually being very selfish and putting my own needs and wants before B. She is happy at school, settled, we have a good life here, friends and support so why would I take that away from her a put her in a position where life is so so different.

Sal - I went to eight different schools in 7 years and I did okay.;) Kids are resilient. Moving teaches them how to make new friends, learn that out of sight doesn't mean out of mind. I am quite at ease in a rom of strangers because I've done it so many times.

Having said that, perhaps an interim move is a good idea. Not only will you be able to see how you 'fit' as a couple living together, you will become aware of practical considerations that may not be apparent until the deal is done IYSWIM.

    Sal,
Not being funny but its not like you will be millions of miles away from B's friends etc so she can still see them again. Also, your happiness will have the greatest impact on her life and her well being.

    She is still very young.

And as Luc says, moving about does not negatively impact a child.

Yep you are both right..I guess I just feel a bit guilty. I know me being happy will effect both of our lives and you are right that it will have more of an impact tbh. Yes Bun we will only be max half hour away so she can still see friends I guess I just want her to feel settled and not to keep moving her around iyswim. I have to do what is best for both of us in the long term.

1 hr 45 mins until I get to see the love of my life :)

Well the last day or so has just been quite frankly perfect :)
R picked me up from work, went and did run...I outrun him and managed to shave another 7 seconds off my time and in the swealtering heat. Picked B up from school and R cooked us an AMAZING curry...yum yum. Wine and evening chatting in front of the TV. Today was nice to wake up and have R around, dropped B at school and then well *ahem* fun, shopping, lunch by the sea, shopping, ice cream lying in the park, afternoon tea in the garden and home.

Work tomorrow morning :( but then he is coming back for supper and this weekend all the children are meeting as his parents have invited us all for lunch on Sunday.

After chatting on here about the house thing, R had some house details sent to him and he brought up the conversation...so I showed him the house and apparently his parents have already looked at it and weren't keen. So there its done and dusted

okay - I have paused for breath and need to catch up

    When you coming up again.

As Lucifa said I moved about eight times in my childhood and went to loads of different schools. As a result I am very anti moving and love the fact that my kids have been in the same place since birth etc, but I realise that they are very naive to the 'outside' world. So I think maybe a balance needs to be struck somehow....

When am I coming down...I need to fix a date, my diary for July is quickly filling up. 8th and 12th July are now out!

Well I am around until the 23rd (travel back 24th) so sounds good. How about 14th or 15th?
