2 more this week and the decision to make it a sealed pot challenge...have sealed a tesco plastic flap jack tub (recycling!) put the £90 in it looks really empty still so may be years before I open it...but the anticipation of megabucks will keep me going!!!

This morning I banked another £30 in £2 coins for July. Now up to £72 this year, so coming along nicely. I normally bank at the end of each month, but with so many in my little pot, I was worried I might sneak a couple out before payday next week, particularly as the house renovations are taking all available cash at the moment. They are much safer where they are and it keeps them in circulation for all of us:j Claremylove

  • £108 so far this year :o

I have found that the best place to get them is from change in a ticket machine at the rail station. A couple of times I have had to put a tenner in for a £1.60 rail fare and got £8 in shiny £2 coins! Unfortunatley I then can't spend the rest of the tenner but it makes the £2 pot look healthier!

Think I will use my pot for spending mOney on my friend's hen do next year. (expensive one as we're going to Vegas but hopefully I'll triple it on the slots!?!)

I was given a terramundi pot for Christmas last year ad have been using it to collect all of the £2 coins i get. I did start by putting in one a week but found that some weeks i wouldn't get any and others weeks i got a few so now i just put them all in, whether i get £8 worth in change from a £10 note or if i only have one. I can't keep a track of how much is in there, but in some way i think it's better not knowing, i have to break the pot to get the money out which means it's not even a temptation to dip into it because i can't. It'll be a while before it's full and even then i'm not sure what i'm going to spend it on.
